Wests Tigers Coaches

Key performance indicators?
Yep, surely they didn’t fly him out and pay him 500k to do a ten minute interview with Noddy justifying sacking Maguire.

I like Madge, but I would have done it for a large mixed kebab, chips with a large Diet Coke ( health conscious for the kids and players watching at home)

And a milkshake to slurp on as well.

Noddy and I could have had the same one, but different straws. Tag team.

Poor Noddy, a wonderful opportunity to have the opportunity to be beaten into a hole.

I loved his talk, so innocent and full of hope.

Last time someone tried to put KPIs on Sheens a CEO lost his job.
Even more reason to insist on them.

Tim’s first order of the day should have been to replace Justin with a bright yellow rubber duck.

Given us a chance to hire ciraldo as Noddys first assistant - thanks @bathursttiger1 !

I mean we couldn’t have done a worse job. I’m not excusing ciraldo, but the bullshit we were feeding him was obviously low grade and about as persuasive as the Aussie diplomatic core in the Solomon’s. Ffs, we must have sent Sir Les Patterson over there and they mustn’t drink, smoke or womanise.

If Morris has been offered the job he will accept. There can't be two morons out there in assistant coaching world who don't want the job.

I think the real question is are the Tigers are going to stick with Noddy or give Morris or someone else a go.

Hopefully they do it quietly this time.
# bookmarked for when Morris is on his bike in 2024/5 and Ciraldo remains well paid in the Panthers winning set up.

Well Madge spoke a lot about improvements in all departments except these didn’t translate to actual wins.

I mean I am sure he sure he tried his guts out, many changes and he had an unusual style, but all efforts to appeal to the inner footy player seemed to result in a general devolution.

Some players responded, but most didn’t. So you change things hoping to get the formula and there were some good games, but we just couldn’t stick.

The only roughish comparison we can make is to see how Brett fares with a similar squad, bearing in mind injuries and the like and every other variable that presents.

And that’s tough because he’s inexperienced as a coach, but to be sure he knows what’s going on out there as well as anyone.

He’s a bit late with the bounce, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Hopefully Tim is imparting some wisdom here and there as to different facets and especially team selection and rotation.

Only two new players so far, but more to come.

As for Brooksy, he devolved under Madge, whether he’s too hard for Brett I don’t know.

Brett was an outstanding footballer in all aspects.

I was going to say the peach has been a real wipe-out. I’d love to know what’s eating him.

As evidenced by loading up the cap with nuffies and walking out on us. Good on ya you dud. Fact remains his best season was 9th. He's not the supercoach here that you think he was.
The footballing public know Cleary is a very good coach. His results don't lie - Penrith, the players, no of players in SOO and Ciraldo.

Wait until his pride and joy has officially opened (coe). Will be surprised if he's still CEO at seasons end.
Aren't we working on the COE at UWS for the Campbelltown/Macarthur region? It's a great initiative likely to ruffle Gould and co.. Strategically it is a masterstroke which reaffirms the WTs' place in SW Sydney and services the whole of this expanding region. I thought rather than bagging out Pascoe and the Club, we should be behind this project.

Tragic,

I read on this forum Sheens engaged with the parents of players in the SW and no doubt the IW. A pro-active approach in terms of retaining our best talent to prevent other clubs signing the best of our youngsters. Our future depends on these young players remaining in our system.

A concentration of effort in the SW where this has been reflected in a win by our Wests HM team which has a plethora of talent. Now hopefully we will see these young men wanting to represent WTs which represents the areas from which they are drawn.

We read yesterday Sheens and Co met with journalists for lunch no doubt in part to improve the club's image in the press and perception among the public. Again a strategically pro-active solution to an on-going issue.

Sheens cut through the crap of the last 3.5 years under Maguire. While you and others on this forum were lapping up the "Madge has a plan" or "trust in Madge" slogans and planting kisses on his arse cheeks (mind you the scramble for position with Batmans Parents must have been tense) Sheens wanted him gone last year according to a post the other night. Sheens delivered as I knew he would.

Ciraldo is totally unproven. Hasn't even coached state cup. Yes, he may pay off to be a good coach, but Penrith will be no real barometer of his ability due to the insane amount of talent they have. I mean they turned Cleary from a coach who couldn't even make the eight here into a premiership winner. Any other coach would have taken Penrith to that premiership last year. A gold standard example of the players making the coach rather than the other way around.
