I can understand that you are against abortion because of your religious beliefs even though i disagree with it.However do you still believe that a woman should be forced to have a child if she was raped or it is a case of incest and she falls pregnant? Both will still be illegal under the ruling and to be honest many abortions are performed because the woman/family can not provide for the child due to poverty.
I am not saying i have the answers but this ruling is a throwback to the middle ages, women will be desperate to terminate unwanted pregnancies and will risk their lives as they always have in the past.

This is simply not true.

The SCOTUS ruling does not make abortion illegal. End of story.

All the SCOTUS ruling says is that there is nothing in the US Constitution that gives anyone a constitutional right to an abortion and therefore it now passes down to be ruled on by the States, which is exactly the same as the situation in Australia. People can now vote for the Govenors that they want in their states and if abortion is an important issue for them, they can vote accordingly.

For women in 22 States right now, absolutely nothing will change and in some of these States women have the right to an abortion up until delivery. In the other states, things may change to varying degrees. To any woman in California, New York, Wa, Pa, Oregon etc, absolutely nothing will change.

Im not pro life or pro abortion. I can see circumstances where its necessary and I can see circumstances where it should be banned. I think that this ruling will affect some women in some states in the US, I also think its important to be honest in the discussion.

As usual you have no idea so you make it up, What was done is that the 9 members of the scotus decided that it was not their position to decide on abortion issues and have handed back the decisions of abortion back to each state and the people of each state, many will not change anything on abortion , some may become stricter and some may become more lenient on abortion issues. The power and decision are now back into the peoples hands , its called democracy but once again you want to twist things to advance you narrative. Please be informed
You are correct hugh1954. Nothing has changed in regard to the legality of abortion. The decision as to how abortion will be treated is now handed back to the individual states. The people of those states will decide re abortion. It*s called democracy. Anyone on here against democracy?

Circumstances like an ectopic pregnancy which potentially leads to the death of baby and mother

What does that have to do with the SCOTUS decision?

*an ectopic pregnancy is when the egg is fertilised in the fallopian tubes, its not a baby, or even an embryo. Clump of cells.

Which if left alone can damage the organs they can actually and it can be there for several weeks and becomes a fetus which is why they go to abortion clinics to get rid of them

Yeah its bad news, I had a family member had one and she lost the tubes and ovary on one side.

Still not sure why its relevant to the SCOTUS decision?

Clinics will close in places that abortion is made illegal which means they can't get things like ectopic pregnancy treated

Clinics closing will not be because of the SCOTUS decision, it will be because of a state law passed.

Personally i think an ectopic pregnancy would be treated as a medical emergency in a hospital anyway (exactly as it is in Aus)

maybe if they cut off the Scrotum decision, the ladies may have bn happy, when is a fetaus a life?if a woman decides 2 end a life is it ok 2 charge some one with double murder if that life is not formed yet, devil's advocate

Totally agree, Jad. Also, ectopic pregnancies. But really, whose choice is it? The woman. End of.

A woman putting herself in the position to be raped by a guy that can’t help himself?
Sorry I refuse to allow the excuse that a guy can’t help himself. Don’t rape it isn’t complicated. Women should be able to dress however they please, how acwoman dresses is no excuse. To say men can’t help themselves is favouring one gender.
Right, Krissy! Imagine being a bloke and admitting that blokes can't control themselves and NOT rape. How bloody disrespectful to most men. ... I actually don't have the words to articulate what I'm feeling ... just wow ...

A bit of a long watch, but a great take down of this Newsmax douchebag and his nonsensical take on the backlash to the overturn of Roe v Wade.

This is so dumb. There is no way that I or any man I know well enough would ever rape a woman. It doesn't matter it she was walking down the street naked.

Anyone who says anything differently is a disgrace of a human being.

Exactly! It's disgusting!
Jarryd Haine anybody....Im not making excuses for any person...but if you or Earl dont think men rape women because of their makeup and character,go visit Goulburn Gaol and see the filth in there that have done exactly that and thought it was funny doing it...
I absolutely love women, even though the last one done the dirty on me,but cant imagine trying to force a woman to do what I want even against her will..
This happens in life,as do some women who lead guys on,milk them for drinks,go home with them and regret it and then lie about it...its human nature...
The only answer I have is that everybody knows right from wrong, people have to be held accountable for their own actions...Regrettably I dont have the answers and apparently the justice system overrules all of us.....

I think I better give you an education in regard to people and life in general Earl, you and others are quick to assault my opinion on this particular matter...
I have worked in the hospitality industry for 45 years, over that time I have seen what alcohol does to people and how they change...I have saved many a young lady from being in the situation of being taken advantage of because they were drunk, kissing blokes, getting drinks from them for free and then were to scared to go home or outside the hotel in fear...I kept them in the hotel until myself and security locked up,I then got them taxis home...
Do I know what could have happened if I hadnt shown concern, could she have been raped, bashed or otherwise ?
So please dont insult my intelligence because I have seen first hand what could happen..This particular young lady about 19/20 was dressed in a very short dress, highheels and very attractive(some people even said she looked slutty)so who is to blame?I will answer that for you,all of us have to be held accountable for OUR own actions, otherwise anything could and does happen with regret...
Hope this short response lets you know what sort of a person Iam Earl, and my opinion is based on what I have lived through,I also feel very sorry for ladies that do get raped, but I cant see that violence through an overruling of a case will help matters, this is sensitive and should be completely left to the victim and family to deal with in a manner that helps all round....
