Not a chance.Benji Marshall backs Tim Sheens to make SHOCK return to coaching and take over struggling Tigers 10 years after leaving the club
- Tim Sheens hasn't coached in the NRL since leaving Wests in 2012
- The 71-year-old won four premiership as a coach, including one with the Tigers
- Wests are still looking for a permanent coach after sacking Michael Maguire
- But they were turned down by Cameron Ciraldo, who opted to stay at Penrith
- Benji Marshall believes Sheens is the right man to take over at Wests
We can all wish
Blow inSomeone who clearly has more sense than the fools advocating for Sheens to step in as coach.
Rugby supporter?Blow in
Someone’s got sunshine in their pocket🙈There’s no “all” in this matter. You hate the club that much?

Nothing like an "OLD BOYS CLUB" reunion to hinder an already floundering club...Ironic.
The same coach he and Robbie got sacked in 2012...
There's a lot of criticism and guesswork in the media surrounding the coach, so it's no surprise to read this latest stuff. It's the oldest trick in the book, to create a diversion during crisis.
The Dollphin coach is the same age if not older than Sheens and has continued with a very long coaching career.Does Sheens even know about the 6 again rule?
That's the issue Lauren. There's lots of criticism and guesswork but the club has made no announcement. Its smacks of professionalism with not an ebb or flow to be sighted. There's a lot of criticism and guesswork in the media surrounding the coach, so it's no surprise to read this latest stuff. Gibbs retired nearly 10 years ago.I'd rather listen to someone that's played the game.
This is starting to get weird. Sheens broke up a team that were the last real lot of players that the fans could be proud of. The first player that he axes comes out and supports him, as does one of the senior players who Sheens suggested got him sacked.I'd rather listen to someone that's played the game.
True Garry, the old nostalgia kicks in hard.Gibbs retired nearly 10 years ago.
Sheens hasn't coached in the NRL for 10 years.
You'll find plenty of ex-players that wax lyrical about all sorts of old coaches, which is fair enough too. Doesn't mean we should be appointing Warren Ryan or Roy Masters as coach in 2023 though.
