Wests Tigers Coaches

That is life. No joke. Maybe I'm a bit older and I understand that I don't have the answers. I have no idea who would be a good coach going forward. I'd prefer Morris. I don't want Flanagan.

I think Sheens could be a disaster but I'd be okay with it because he has in the past pulled a rabbit out of the hat.

Here is a line and it's not directed at you at all - only idiots think they know it all.
Thomas and Martha and a few others need to read that last line.

The club was floundering before he arrived, now it's just an out and out embarrassment with him gallivanting(sp) about as chairman.
He needs to keep his mouth closed and his wallet open until we win something and then like the rest of us he can cheer…. Sorry I have forgotten what your supposed to cheer when you win.

That idiot deserved that text response. Total loser using podcast to hurl baseless insults at people.
Boy we have some classless so called supporters who should use their brain before opening their mouth.

Yep.

I don't know how you can call yourself a supporter and behave like that.

I might have the history a little wrong but I feel a bit factor in why we didn't kick on after 05 was a coaches meeting with the NRL at the end of the season that led to a deliberate slowing down of the play the ball (which really limited the fast play Sheens & co invented). No coincidence that from 06 on 'the wrestle' came to dominate the game and Melbourne etc came to the fore. Yes Sheens made baffling stubborn decisions but the total misfire of our two big money signings for 06 (Sam Harris and Ryan O Hara) didn't help either.

Would Lee really be 'Chairman' if not for the money his company pays in as a sponsor?

Based on his performance as a sports administrator? Come on...

Of course not but what does it matter. I just finished watching "Winning Time" which is about the Lakers winning the title.

The guy who owned it and was right across a bunch of decisions was just a businessman. His daughter is still the boss of the Lakers.

I am pretty sure the Golden State Warriors were only successful via big money coming into the club and then good decisions being made.

We need money coming into the club. If we can get someone with bigger pockets than Lee I'm all for it.

The slight difference being the Lakers were/are incredibly successful and not an embarrassment to be associated with on and off the field.

What other Business on the planet would listen to anything someone who purposely provides them no business - And in fact broadcasts to all and sundry for followers to also provide them no business has to say?
I totally agree BUT when you publicly say you won't listen to someone because they're not a member, people who pay for tickets and buy jumpers but aren't members will be offended. It was a dumb comment.

Benji injuries, Prince and Lafranchi to the Titans didn’t help either.

Oh no one has to take my word for it. Just look at your posts. Tell us all again why it was Matt Lodges fault that we didn’t reach the finals while he was a rookie?

Nah. I tend to fight fire with even more fire but you’re not worth the minimal amount of effort it would take
Reminds me a bit of what the wise man told me years ago mate....
If your going into a heated argument "take a blowtorch not a wet match"...

the issue lies with no halfback. we've failed to suitably replace Prince since he left. Morris, Marshall, Lui, Moltzen, Miller and Brooks have all tried but have never managed to put it together at the level Prince did. he will always be our most important signing. until we find the true heir to Scott Prince's throne we won't win another premiership.

Mate this is a classic case of..."Lee should be seen and not heard"...he is a sponsor and chairperson thats as far as it goes...if we have a new player its up to Sheens and his dept to comment to the media and fans...

I think the biggest mistake Sheens made was try and turn Benji into a halfback...he was always a dynamite 5/8 ...we should have developed or bought a deadset halfback to compliment Benji long term....

I find it amusing how easily Bechara could turn the intentions of that comment to gather numbers for his cause - When it was quite clearly directed solely at him.
The point being why should the club, it's board and employees take on board his persistent ramblings and abuse when he's not even a paying customer.

I didn't take it as Fan opinions don't matter - He said Robs' opinion doesn't matter - It might do IF he was a paying customer.... He's not.
He didn't phrase it as such. Also if people are walking away or actively declaring they are not contributing anymore and the club is not asking why they. They ought to try and win disillusioned fans back, not lambast them, even if they are caustic with their opinions. You don't see Woolworths, Telstra or Ford treating angry customers the way Lee carried on with Bechara. Carrot over the stick.

absolutely. it was the reason we were in a holding pattern until 2010 when Lui reared his head. Mat Head was a decent 7 but I think there was issues between him and Sheens iirc. if we left Marshall at 6 and found a decent 7 to sit beside him I think we win another premiership. that side from 2007-09 could beat anyone on their day and the results show that.
