Why did Kimmorley leave the Wests Tigers in 2015 under Taylor?

Can anyone remember why Kimmorley left us the first time?
I remember we hired Brett Kimmorley as an Assistant coach, this was just after he finished up at the Bulldogs.
Many on this forum said Kimmorley was more interested in TV appearances then coaching. I had thought Kimmorley was here to work with Brooks and Moses.

What happened? Ok clearly it was something Jason Taylor. But what is the real story?

Think it had something to do with his wife being diagnosed with cancer at the time.

She passed away in 2017

I've said it here before....
I'm not unsympathetic to his personal situation back then - But that WAS NOT the reason he moved on.
His contract with the club was up, And he wasn't considered for renewing it.
His family position changed after that...

It's very easy to mould them into one consideration for all and sundry because of what came later.

Him, Mat Head among others (Paul Sironen I also believe) were also not considered for renewal. Taylor got Paul Stringer and a few other of his old co-horts in.

I got that from the horses mouth at the time - Facts.
 
I know he’s working with a rubbish roster, but he doesn’t seem much chop as a coach. Which is surprising to me, because as a player, he seemed like the type of guy who could have success as a coach.

I spoke with him a few times about his time at the Tiger's and he said it was a complete shambles and know one spoke with each other and had no idea what the other person was doing and was upset about Pap's and Carr I was surprised when he came back

Didn't work at 20's with Us, Or the Dogs, Or the Raiders....
Had a crack in Wollongong - Didn't work there either.
It doesn't take much to join the dots.

If he's even in the conversation for a F/T gig - We're Well and truly screwed....

I'll take your word for it. I do remember a bunch of people being being moved on at the time. I don't know much outside of family situation.

The bloodletting continues at Wests Tigers after the club parted company with National Youth Competition coach Brett Kimmorley.

As I said, That came from the horses mouth at the time - weren't happy at the time to not even get the opportunity for a conversation on it.
Head was the Ball coach - Who'd just come off a very successful period.
 
When Sheens was sacked in 2012, players had become very emotional with several joining Sharks. Beau Ryan blamed the board for messing up his contract but Sheens got sacked. It doesn’t seem to matter who the CEO is the result is always the same. The response to conflict resolution is sackings. 😂

Doesn't matter if he was employed to us at the time but crapping on the club to randoms is pretty low I reckon.

Not really.... Beau Ryan left because Heighno was asked to to look elsewhere.
Him and Heighno made some idiot pact they'd retire together.
When Heighno got interest from the Sharks - Beaus wasn't far behind him to get himself a deal...

The "Boys Club" was being broken up (Who could ever forget Benjis' "But Heighno organises our lunch hangouts comment") and Beau leaving was a knee jerk reaction to that.

What about when he went into his kitchen and cried when Heigno told him he was leaving? The same week a Port Adelaide player was killed on an end of season trip. That poor dudes teammates were mourning over a death, he was crying because his mate was going to another club.
 
And wasn’t there a story that Gallen got stuck into Heigno and Ryan at training not long after they got there cos they were goofing around at training?

It's the entitled idiots we continually employ to play for this club.

It's an article written by Hooper. His track record of telling the truth is worse than Kimmorleys first grade coaching record

I used to always chat with him all the time and when he was going back i told him a bout the junior's I liked nice guy.

With Pap's leaving he was cut about it pretty hard
