Hello Rational Human, you know how many games Brooks has played at the Wests Tigers? Let me refresh your memory since you cleary have forgotten as you couldn't be making such a false comparison if you hadn't....

You know how many Hastings has played?

TWELVE.

BROOKS' EXCUSES ARE STUPID CAUSE HE'S HAD A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME TO PROVE HIS WORTH. WE HAVE HAD DECENT PLAYERS AROUND HIM IN HIS TIME WITH US, YET HIS DOWNSIDES ARE ALWAYS THERE.

The length people in here will go to to defend Brooks or act like his bashing is some hypocrisy. Wow.
 
Just another reminder that Luke Brooks is not a good first grade half. He is not a good kicker. No half is NRL worthy if they cannot kick well. It's the literal fundamental requirement of being a half. Just thought I'd remind the forum.

Hastings isn't a good kicker either. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see Hastings make much difference if we a banking on him as our half. I hope we have a good half coming through in the juniors.

Luke Brooks is one of the most loyal Tigers I have seen
it was not the money that kept him with the tigers it was loyalty.
Luke Brooks has never had a decent pack around him with much go forward in them we have been about a 65% rated pack for years so no half back would have gone well.
Brooks was half back of the year under Cleary , proof he has it in him and Cleary got it out of him .
I wish we had 5 Luke Brooks in our team when Madge arrived could have been a whole lot different with 5 players trying there guts out doing 35/40 tackles and being a loyal Tiger player with pride in the jumper

Na - He's played 146 games - 60 odd in the NRL
And represented Great Britain internationally....

Like I said, Just keep rolling out the excuses for JH buddy - We get it.

Brooks is like that first born, rebelling teenager that wants to move out.
you give him all the money love and support but you’re not good enough.
once he leaves he’ll realises how good he had it.
the real world doesn’t tolerate this behaviour.
and just like his cousins Benj and Robbo will probably want to come back home.

in not endorsing to keep him or comparing him.

I don’t agree with loyalty over money. If we never payed overs he would have walked. As a halfback he should talk more.

when Brooks gets interviewed before a game, compared to other players, he always gives a stunned mullet look. Do others see this ?
He’s not a born leader or talker.
All that said and done, I still wish him all the best.
 
I agree tigermaniac with what you are saying but letting Brooks face the media before a game is just dumb by the club , he is not the guy you let front up , Brooks needs to get hardened up , just look at Munster in origin , he is using elbows to players necks , hands in there face pushing players back once they play the ball he gets in stirs them up he has aggression , Brooks has none and should have had some coached into him early on , he needs to get in mosses face this game and end up in a scuffle with him it would do him the world of good to get some of the frustrations out of his system I believe

Hastings has been ordinary. Other clubs know his game and that he is no threat to their defences allowing defenders to target the few players who can create/have pace. This is amplified on our team with an already pedestrian backline except for Laurie and Brooks.

Hang on a second. Isn’t this the guy who supposedly took a team from last to a premiership in the ESL? That’s what got banged into my head anytime I expressed skepticism over him in the summer? Why isn’t doing it with us?

i like lots of what youre saying. Not just Brooks but all of them should show the Munster mentality at the WT. How you sum up Munster is perfect.
We need to brink back the biff, cop fines for coaches opinion towards bad refs decision’s at the after match presser.
No more games , point it out at the presser, we got money, we get robbed all the time and live it, Make the NRL stand up notice, that’s what smart clubs do. Look at Robinson fuming last week, come on we cop it all the time, 8 times a game.
Players we have to target are the ones that every time you tackle them it hurts, because as you say the Munster, the Munster affect.

Lol, Brooks tried that when he stood toe to toe and out pointed Gagai, he got 10 in the bin.

Difference between those halves and ours - Is they have a team / pack with some metal behind them....

Our team for the last 15 years has been built on buying players that could (and maybe should) work in childcare centres. Not 1 mug amongst them.... Zero backbone.
- Tried it with Packer and played him in ressies....

Been that way forever...
