Recalled Parramatta forward Nathan Brown said the past month has “been very tough” as he made his return to the top grade against the Tigers on Saturday night.

Brown has been in the headlines in recent weeks since being axed from the NRL. He has languished in reserve grade since round 14 and now faces an uncertain future at the Eels after being given permission to leave the club.

“It’s good to be back,” Brown said. “The legs don’t feel too bad. I always want to play first grade. I really enjoyed it.”

Despite having 12 months left on his $500,000 contract the ex-NSW forward is unlikely to remain at the Eels. His adversaries on Saturday night may be yet be his likely destination with the Tigers discussing a potential homecoming for the junior Tiger – who played one first grade game at the club in 2013.

No, we're just showcasing Pole, Matamua, Tupou, Tumeth and a few others for the big teams. The Roosters and Storm are looking a bit thin in terms of quality and a quick top up from their IW and SW junior districts would be nice.
The club isn't that dumb. On WestsTigers website pole is signed to 2024

Not the player he was last year, still makes metres and gets quick play the balls.

For 2 years with Parra chipping in next year at aroound 350k I wouldn’t be against. Probably an upgrade on Tamou.

Jack Boyling had a good game yesterday in NSW Cup. HIs history is very good as a competitor and captain. He was Sharks NYC Player of the Year and no surprises that Jess Colquhoun received the Coaches Award in the same team. Imo Colquhoun is going to be a very good forward - plays long minutes.

Is Jack and Jess both at tigers now or still with sharks?

No, no and no. Please don't do it Tigers. Sure do it for 150k or so because the guy is at the end of his career on the best salary he will get. Let Parra wear his contract.

I have said we need to buy 3 to 5 players to add to API and Papi but after watching our NSW cup team , my god they are poor we need to buy at least 10 new players into our top 30 min 10 , Peach , Roberts , Simpkin , Madden , and so on and so on are rubbish , couple young guys having a crack but gee we are in big trouble player wise
It's a crowded house of low talent.
