I can only go by what I hear in the media.

There are lots of worse halfbacks in the NRL right now. Fogarty, Clune, Townsend, Flanagan, Ilias, Johnson, Hastings and Sexton are all current first choice halfbacks for their NRL clubs. I would not swap Brooks for any of them.

To the people that say the next person can't be worse, we just sacked our coach without a better replacement, now we are scraping the bottom of the barrel for someone that wants the job.

If we were to believe everything we read in the media...And comparing Brooks to those guys is nothing more than adding another to the mediocrity pot...But I doubt those guys are on the same pay packet or have been in the job as long...

The last half we lost worth anything was in 2015 - Te Maire Martin.

If you are going to get rid of someone competent that tries, you should have someone better to replace him with. I have never heard a sensible suggestion from this thread.

If we can get Cleary or Cherry-Evans that would be a good move. The next tier - Hunt (folds under pressure), Hughes (a fullback that does not lead or generally play 1st receiver), Reynolds (more fragile than a new-born kitten) are certainly better on their day but are big risks and every one else is worse in my opinion, which is also why they get paid less.

You can’t compare Brooks to a player who actually won matches (on his own), our greatest player, golden boot winner etc etc.
