Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

Has anyone thought about young players wanting to be half backs or five eight see how protected luke brooks is, and if talented enough to be in first grade one day. decide to go to other clubs juniors, to see what chance, if you have the ability to be a half, your chances would be greater elsewhere, as is situation we currently are in. brooksy is a 10 year gamble that did not pay of, the club has just kept its supporters week after week wondering why the club keeps him in the team, any good coach can see his failures week after week so why have different coaches perceived him to be our saviour, i really think the hierarchy tells the coaches were paying brooks a fortune, sohe has to play, noddy decides to drop him, and days before game he was back in team, and isnt madden leaving the tigers at season's end.

I notice the support of Hastings is very quiet these days - Because he's been a passenger for a month or more, But the bagging of the other half continues...
I get it, He's not playing great - But anyone who thinks he's doing any worse than any other option is drunk or just stupid...

And anyone who declares Madden is by far and beyond light years ahead of Brooks - Obviously doesn't really watch him much.

At some point the other halves will all get a shot at the position, And they'll be no better than what is currently in place - And there'll be every excuse under the sun rolled out for them...

Brooks will move on, Everyone will be happy and the WT's will be much the same - Until out cavalry arrives starting next year.

Madden is woeful . Half’s don’t grow on trees.

Yes, brooks will move on and we’ll continue to lose because we don’t have any elite players leading us. The real problem.

You obviously have no gauge on our juniors or lower grades.
The last half we lost worth anything was in 2015 - Te Maire Martin.

As for the rest of the garbage you wrote - When Luke Brooks is in reserve grade without a club interested - You can waffle on...
Until then, I think you'll find he won't have trouble gauging interest from other clubs.

Next year - We'll have the best Hooker in the game and one of the Best (If not the best) Back Rowers...
That's a hell of a start.

If we had them last night, You'd back us to win that one....

There's plenty of holes mate - For sure....
But they're heads and shoulders above what's there
- They'd get an extra 10% out of the rest of the team I feel....
That would be enough for us to improve a bit on it's own,
And they're both genuine game Breakers.
We'd go from 0 game breakers, To 2....
That's a BIG thing man...

Also, I don't see them plodding - Api never has, Even when he was in ordinary sides - And Papalli is a beast - He only has that one level of effort....

Hope you are right. Also hope we get the coach sorted and sign a few more genuine first graders.

Our 187 game veteran has been on a downward trajectory for years. He still has very limited potential, only it is the potential to get slightly worse.

The insecurity of Brooks fanboys is amazing. They have made every excuse under the sun for him for his rubbish performances going back 9 years but want to immediately dump on every other option the moment they have a bad game.

Rather than admit they were wrong and that its time to give someone else a go (one of which has proven he is a better 5/8), they continue to try and shit on the other options. Like someone else said, they are Brooks fans first, Tiger fans second.
