Wests Tigers Coaches

Moses > Brooks

🇱🇧
Definitely a far better player, no doubt (he says begrudgingly! 🤣).

But surely he has well and truly burnt that bridge, and in any case why would he even want to come back?

In any case, I can safely say there is no current nrl player I would like to have at the tigers less than Moses.

He will be able to help recruit players and thats a massive plus.

I don't believe this. I mean it would be awesome if he could but I honestly think we overrate coaches being able to pull players.

It happens but very rarely. Bellamy doesn't attract players. Bennett does but he only does it to like 1 player.

I tell you what attracts players - dollars, opportunities and winning.

I think Aaron Woods is off contract 😂

What happened to Morris i wonder...
The more I see this Sheen's stuff happening the more I think it may work. He will be able to help recruit players and thats a massive plus.
Media manipulation 101. Its called "The Overton Window". In business if you ever need to sell an unpalatable situation, you leak or distribute the idea (or slightly worse) weeks before and it shocks everyone, but the more it is talked about the more "normal" and palpable it seems.

I actually told you guys this was coming a week or so ago and told you the club would be getting the smoke out. It has been orchestrated.

At the end of Paul Kent write-up

Since Michael Maguire was sacked as head coach last month Sheens has stated several times he has no interest in the head coaching job.

When I asked him how difficult it might be to attract a coach to the club, given it has become something of a graveyard for coaches since Sheens was sacked first time around — only Ivan Cleary has survived, and he left the Tigers — Sheens held no fears.

“I’ll be knocked over with applicants, don’t worry about that, Paul,” he said.

“The issue is trying to find the right guy to fit.”

Sadly, Sheens is still standing, having been knocked over by no one.

Penrith assistant Cameron Ciraldo knocked back a five-year deal, St Helens coach Kristian Woolf said no and Todd Payten has quietly been sounded out with no interest.

Other likely candidates now don’t seem to be so likely, and so the club is looking to reinvent 2005 again.

And again.

And again …

It's creating culture we've been missing. Also sheens did coach past 2005 and we made the finals two years straight and were a top 4 team. Wish they'd stop referencing 05 to suit their story.

I don’t think players will be falling over themselves to play under a coach that hasn’t coached NRL in 10 years and has been sacked from his last 3 jobs.

I really hope I’m wrong but I feel this is going to end very badly for the club. Bringing back players/coaches who didn’t have a great deal of success when with the club previously seems crazy to me. Why will the results be any different this time?

Lol , yeah... he's a hard one to like.

Media have been onboard with it for the most part.

Sheens, Benji & Farah running the show

Reaching out to their friends and former players.

Bring Moey & Tedesco home....

I'm HERE for it !!

I think that's pretty obvious. I would say most experienced coaches would not want to take it on knowing Sheens may over rule them at anytime.
Same reason Bulldogs will only take on someone comfortable with Gould s input. We all saw how Gould in the same role at Penrith stepped on Cleary and Griffin's toes.

I don't believe this at all. Plenty of players have come here for opportunities. Doueihi, Musgrove, Laurie, Ken M, Naden and that is just thinking of regular first graders in about 10 seconds.
