Wests Tigers Coaches

This article is a matter of perspective. Certain journalists if they get a carrot will place it into the stew and stir.
This is a nothing article. Someone described on here that the journo probably didn’t get the invitation to the lunch with Sheens, that’s exactly what it is.
😂
Let’s humour ourselves for a moment?
What if their is some truth in the article? After landing Benji for the 2 plus 3 deal, why would we then phone Ciraldo and offer him the same deal?
I have a theory 🤣
Let me put it this way? Does anyone think Ciraldo would have felt uplifted by receiving such an offer?

All these news limited marketing is deceptive
First post Headline sounding something dramatic
Then allow you to click on and get first paragraph to tease
Then ask you to subscribe to read rest
Then you find story nothing special or just some journos wild speculation
I won't subscribe to any news feed on this basis

Great point -a lot of media is based on speculation and sensationalism to sell advertising.

Buzz had Madge lined up to be sacked after the inquisition of terror in the off season. Couldn’t be more wrong.

More recently, there was a story that the Ruskies were using chemical weapons in the Ukraine. Complete fabrication.Couldnt be more wrong.

Geoffrey Rush was headlined “ King Leer” and successfully sued the backside off News Ltd for this defamatory article. It almost destroyed him. The article couldn’t have been more wrong.

Now the defendant in the Brittany Higgins incident has had his trial delayed because of the publicity. He is arguing a jury may be influenced by media and celebrity and not look at the facts. So far he’s succeeding. The media were wrong to suggest his guilt before a fair trial.

On and on it goes, the hysteria.

You see a lot of social media gets trapped in speculation, a lot of fun, a lot of it wasteful.

The eels would be mad not to at least try to retain him, better so on unders, but whether they succeed, there’s countless variables to consider.

He could have an out somewhere in his contract, I don’t know.

But until we see something concrete that’s reliable about his intentions, no point being paranoid.

The sky might fall in tomorrow.

That Weidler article has to be one of the most clear and obvious pieces of evidence regarding a targeted media agenda against the club. I have never seen an article written in such a way against any other NRL club.

Simply read this paragraph and all can be seen: "Just days before the spin went into overdrive to try and take attention away from the farcical manner in which their favourite son was catapulted into the NRL’s most poisonous position, the Tigers went back to Panthers assistant Ciraldo despite his snubbing of the club only weeks before."

What has happened to rugby league journalism where a club announcing one of it's club legends as coach could induce a reaction like this? Why is Weidler so upset?

On the balance, a lot of the media attention is our stupid fault for making poor decisions and then of course, failing to carry them out.

Whether anyone likes Tim or not ( I don’t really care), he’s pretty much made every post a loser since his “triumphant return.”

The miscalculation as to Ciraldos intentions was a critical error and one we haven’t recovered from. That’s all on Tim.

Benji hasn’t coached a game in anger and now finds himself with a fat contract for 3 threes to do something he’s never done before on a whim and a prayer.

Is it possible there is some other agenda? Something we’re missing?
It’s more likely our club is in a situation as Bennett described like most clubs. There is no plan, it’s all reaction, reaction, reaction. Not sure why he repeated that word thrice, but it does resonate more.

Maybe he didn't get an invite to the free lunch at the grappa restaurant.

On the face of it, that's a preposterous proposition, but media people are notoriously egotistical and fragile, so this is probably far closer to the mark than it should be.

Just need more evidence for another agenda.

All I can see now is the club lurching from one disaster to the next in reaction as you properly say.

The party at Madge’s continues with the arrival of more booze after todays effort.

At least his side could beat a much better Penrith reserve grade outfit.

It was always going to be a mistake sacking him mid season. Even if he wasn’t around for next year, the humiliation and suffering has been next level.

can sheens take over all ready damn
He could but he won’t because it’s all too hard.

He’s made this bed, he’s sure as hell not going to lie in it.

Ask @stryker 69 there’s a number of political considerations in play.

Tim has skirted every consequence since his second coming.

Crafty and maybe devious, that’s why he’s our coach soon.

Apart from cheer the club on and screwing our coaching, leading to total devastation, what’s he been up to this year?

17 Applications for coach (that we know about) have been binned.

Honestly, I just want to see a Tigers team that looks like it is coached, that looks like they work on set plays, skills, technique, TACTICS.

So sick and tired of watching us have none of this every week. Why does it feel like we have none of this, even compared to the other bottom of the table teams.

Mate sheens letting them burn this year.

Looks like Hook's position at St George is under review.
He is a great coach at developing young kids.
This.

Good authority from a Penrith ex junior, he is well liked and respected by players.

One of the better coaches in the NRL according to the junior.

Maybe Madge can land the sgi vacancy if they are stupid enough to Hook Hook.
