Hastings lock

The club don’t see Hastings as a half…he is too slow, defences move up on him quickly, cutting down his time… they see Hastings as a lock, who needs to commit to tackling more than he does….
Sheens has said many many times Hastings was bought as a 13, he only played in halves due to Douhie injury

I have to disagree , thought Hastings was nothing more than a passenger today , he doesn’t hit the line hard , he was even more slower today . We really lost not having a bigger body out there this day . Our whole set up is so slow , backrowers take ages to hit the line , we waste 3-4 tackles every set by running back into the ruck and still have trouble getting set for a backline play , this sort of play can only becoming from coaching other wise as a coach u would be down on the sideline screaming at them , I know I would be .

So you didnt watch the game then

Hastings strength is organising the team.

ADs strength is his running game.

If anyone from our current halves should be at lock, its AD. Much more powerful runner and better leg drive.

For me today was Hastings' best game in Tigers colours.

However, I don't think it had anything to do with him playing lock. We basically had Hastings halfback and played two 5/8's, Brooks just sat on the left and Doueihi sat on the right.

If this kind of coaching is what we have to look forward to we all just have to walk away now for our own sanity.

How do u say to your halfback, play lock, beat yourself up in the middle defensively, take some hit ups into the toughest pack in the competition, but still organise everything while the other 2 sit on their edge and relax until it's their time to come up with a poor decision undoing all your good work.

If they do the same next week I'd walk if I was Hastings.
I agree. Put another way, if you’re 2 points down with 10min to the siren, who would you want in your team from all those who played today?

It was a dumb decision and a waste of a forward IMO. I saw no point in Hastings at Lock, AD at 5/8 and Brooks making up the numbers. Someone grow some balls and drops Brooks.
Telling them to grow balls is implying they don’t have the guts. Why would they not have guts? I think you mean someone should grow brains. Because that’s what its about if you want him dropped. Not balls.
