Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

No one on this forum has seen Paps contract. Iam sure if he is ours set in concrete this back flip stuff would have been put to bed.

Also the player management groups have amazing power in the player market. You get black listed by one of them can really be a disadvantag .

Dont get me wrong, I want him for next year as much as anyone, I just think where there is continual smoke your sure to find fire

I agree that To'a is a winger playing centre. There is no point shuffling them around now though as they are slowly improving.

Naden has been really underrated apart from his brain explosion. Big and fast.

I can forgive the Manly game. Copped a head knock, made a stupid tackle and missed about half a dozen tackles. Quite clear that he was rattled from it.

He's also averaging 130 metres, 1 linebreak and 2-3 tackle breaks a game. Definitely key to scoring points.

If that shit starts happening the NRL will need to review the accreditation system.

Lee has said hes never issued a contract with a coach clause. End of discussion.

He is a totally different player for us than he was at the Bulldogs.
I'm not convinced he is what we need to make the finals as a backline player but he has surprised me in his short time with us.

I agree, money needs to go into the forwards, our centres need more exposure/experience.

Do you have Naden anywhere in your team? I don't see him as a winger.
We all saw what having a good second row forward running off your halves can do when Kelma played a great first half. Brooks looked like a star again. That is the secret to unlocking our spine/attack.

To come to our club and want to play for us . I’m sold on him for now, he is the speed we need, and he’ll get suspended again, from trying , but so far for me, he’s a priority resigning on what I’ve seen and I know it’s early, but realistically he has heart and from where he’s been mentally the last 2 years I have full respect

Sunday proves our team is competitive even with a top four side. Todd Payten would be extremely worried now as WTs demonstrated how to exploit their weakness on the right. Kepaoa and Toa have the makings of an outsanding centre combination.
Don't know about that. Cowboys were rubbish and we played our best.

Kepaoa and Toa have a huge amount of work to do defensively and probably lack the speed to be mainstays.

One match doesn't make a career, same goes with Laurie.

Repeat the form every week for the rest of the season or else last weekend was pointless (in more ways than one)

At times this year we've had a go at Kelma for not having a go, I know it's 1 game but credit to him, at least he's hanging around till the end of 22 not like luc.
Had a good first half but then disappeared early H2 and over-ran Brooks badly on that pass. Brooks still should not have passed to him. Need 80 mins.

I'm not sure of this. To'a has made more than one bust on his own this season. His good work seems to be forgotten by the fans. Kepaoa hasn't performed as well this season but he has plenty of upside.

I don't see centres as a big issue now. We have some depth. I'd like to see Staines here as well because more depth in the outside backs would be good.

Naden is playing well.

Whoever marks Staggs this week is up against it though.

Options - We need options....
Players who scare people.

Second Rowers who can bust the line, Run great lines - Get the pressure off our halves
Centres who can get the defensive reads right, Strength - Good Feet and Pace...
And Wingers who don't get mowed down by back rowers on the end of a break.

Also players who contest high kicks not just float up near the ball and give the other team a clean look at the ball.

If Laurie wants to be fullback that's how he needs to play week in week out. Hasn't been consistent. But saved 2 tries on the weekend and was great in support
