I wouldn’t be surprised if the money we have freed up this year by releasing LL and loaning Nofo out goes to Brooks. It makes it a much smaller hit next year if we can front load 200-300k into this year.

I think Brooks will still be here next year .If you can get a super high
$1 mill ++ deal no one's will want to pick that up and conversely the tigers are not going to want the embarrassment of paying $500k+ to have him play elsewhere . The sheer size of the contract is a sort of protection
What worries me is -Are there any top class players out there who want to come to the Tigers ? Not counting washed up guys who are over the hill and can't get contract extensions .

Rumours have been floating around for awhile now whether he will be at the club in 2023. While that's been happening Brooks has had one eye on the Knights looking at properties in Newcastle and even touring one many weeks ago. Joey Johns has made it no secret he wants the tigers half and it looks like he got his wish
