Brooks isn't that guy.

He may not have the natural ability of some others but Madden has a cool head and from some comments I’ve listened to he seems focussed and willing to hone his craft.

Feels like he’s the exact type of player we need as a halfback - solid, cool head, not flashy, and puts organisation of the team first. As you say he’s also much better value than what we’re investing in Brooks.

He's a natural half-back, he's said it himself and you can really tell he's modelled his game on one of the greats - Cronk.

He's a 7...not a guy you move to 6 to take the pressure off and allegedly play to his "strengths" - out and out #7

Agree with you on the attack. I thought this year the team started to show a bit more resilience give the lack of wins, injuries, dud calls. Mind you, he should have been sacked last year IMO, can't defend the lack of results.

Whatever the past I think we both agree that even on yesterdays result we need to go to another level on both fronts. And Hopefully next lot of coaches and players can get us there.

Not sure about that. Our defence has improved significantly since he left and one aspect of our game returned …. Offloads …. under Madge I always had the feeling that the players were under strict instruction not to promote second phase.
Im glad that that’s back onder Sheensball.

This also meant the instinctive play of our creative players was nullified and the repeated comments on here about the quality of our squad resulted.

I really liked listening to noddy and tamou to be honest. I got over madges pressers even if we did win. The way Brett summed up ADs performance and even madden it was interesting to hear how he described a couple things as a former half. I enjoyed the waffle 😉

Not happy to hear jock is probably being shifted on...I think he's ace from the game time he's had last year and this year. He's a "game managing half" seemed like a dig at brooks lol

Thought Walters was good in praising the play of the tigers and refuting suggestions Brisbane were flat. They certainly weren't perfect but neither were we.

I was actually confident at halftime (and I never am) because we still looked really good despite a woeful completion percentage.

So any suggestion they underplayed and we were red hot ignores the fact that we didn't put it together in the first half and the passes stuck in the second.

Brisbane had momentum at various stages but we earned it back with good plays like doueihi's quick 20 restart or a strong run by maumalo or looking to play wide in attack. These are moments in other games where teams would start to steamroll us.

Well done tigers, good sportsmanship Walters.

Brisbane lack a quality hooker. Walters tries hard but lacks that spark to get the Broncos to the next level.

Was interesting to watch. Thought both spoke well and talked about improvements, but thought there was an underlying message about support and growth for f players that had a bit to say about Madge without having a go.

Tamou has improved 5 fold under the new coach. I would give him another contract easily based on recent performances.

You might not play every game, and you might only get 30 minutes when you do play, but your experience and leadership is valuable, will you take a lower value contract

He's worth 200k just for the experience around our new young guys coming through,
