Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Kade Dykes knocks back rivals and signs 2 year deal to remain at the Sharks.

Dave Riccio exclusive.

I thought you couldn’t extend a player and pay him less for the remainder of his current contract? I remember Nathan cleary tried to sign a new contract that was less than his current deal and it got knocked back?
Thought that's what the rorters do

That's what I thought also. There has been a few examples in the past of players offering to take a pay cut in order to help clubs recruit or retain certain players. Each time I hear that it is against NRL rules to do so.

Logically, why would any player go to the Knights. The sheer desperation on this forum is amusing. The Knights' coach is Maguire lite and appears to be on borrowed time. They've guaranteed him his role until end of year.
In his case to test himself (although I doubt it is in him) under the tutelage of the greatest halfback of modern times.
A guy who says that he believes in him and could unlock his game … although personally I doubt it.

SEN (Bishop/Vossey) saying Kelna Tuilagi wants to get out of deal with Manly 🤞🤞🤞🤟
The difference with this one and Papali'i may well be that by all reports Kelma hasn't has a signed contract registered with the NRL, as per @Cobarcats sneaky little sleuthing and Manly's lack of any form of announcement. Whereas Isaiah is signed, sealed and delivered.

Two very different backflip scenarios.

11. Tuilagi (on current form)
12. Papali'i

Oh, goodness, that's better.
