I'd settle for a guarantee-in writing-that Klein never have any on or off field role in any game involving WTVery likely imo. Just hope WT gets a shitload of hush money.

I would doubt if that would happen as it would be a virtual admission of guilt by the NRL that Klein is not impartial when it comes to making decisions involving our club due to Klein's prejudice against usI'd settle for a guarantee-in writing-that Klein never have any on or off field role in any game involving WT
Klein not a WT fan? I'm shocked!I would doubt if that would happen as it would be a virtual admission of guilt by the NRL that Klein is not impartial when it comes to making decisions involving our club due to Klein's prejudice against us
Next time that he is involved with our games he will surely be reminded about what the WT fans think of him with the placards.I would doubt if that would happen as it would be a virtual admission of guilt by the NRL that Klein is not impartial when it comes to making decisions involving our club due to Klein's prejudice against us
There was 2 whistlesjust watching the end of the cowgirls game. Was that the short or long whistle?
I get that all the time... 😉There was 2 whistles
I understand your frustrations and morally, yes Tigers are 100% in the right. Even by the rules of the game Tigers were robbed.I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not in a place to speak in absolutes about whether or not they have grounds to litigate.
But Lee Hangipantelis is (I know - not his area of expertise. We've been through that).
And if the previous post (screen cap below) is correct, why did V'Landys say he "hoped they would not commence legal action"?
Why is it that shortly after the fact, the ARLC (of which he is the chairman!) called for their own investigation into it?
How's that going btw? Anyone heard?
And why do the tigers have to have precedent?
It's common knowledge this is unprecedented; That's why it's such an issue.
Just because no nrl club has previously taken the nrl to court over...
Whoa steady on @FinestTigers.....I wouldn't be saying there's crooks in the NRL.....'YET'. 🙂The WT mustn't back away from this, The evidence is just too strong,
The justice that the WT are seeking should be this,
For the sake of the game and to restore it's good reputation, the crooks at the NRL must be dealt with properly so that those crooks be removed from their current jobs, but while they continue in their jobs then the NRL will continue to be severly deficient of integrity.
It's worth reading this honest comment of this man again,
from Fox Sports
July 27th, 2022
former referees boss Michael Stone have described the NRL’s response to the controversial decision as a “smother job”.
“I can’t believe what I saw on Sunday and how the NRL then tried to cover its tracks,” Stone said to WWOS.
WOW!!! I'm impressed that 'you blokes' actually know what equivocate means 👍An old favourite that I've never really been fond of... 😉 🤣
100% no legal case? How do you know? Are you some kind of legal genius? If not, stfu.I understand your frustrations and morally, yes Tigers are 100% in the right. Even by the rules of the game Tigers were robbed.
But in court - it goes nowhere.
NRL don't want this to proceed to court because they don't want to have to bother to mount a legal defence, costing $$$ for Tigers and NRL.
But Tigers have 100% no legal case.
BTW I thought the bunker could have done us a solid and awarded the Laurie try today, obviously knock-on from Doueihi, but would have been a nice karma for Tigers.
The 2 things that really annoy 😡 me BP are the Cowboys were offside at the final kick-off which was disregarded....... and Our bloke was penalised for running the player off the ball when it was abundantly clear to Everyone..... and their blind dog even, that the Cowboy player ran into Our player and took a dive. It shouldn't have gone any further at that point than game over and WT win and get the 2 points.This. At this stage, the two points are irrelevant. This is about taking a stand and holding the referee's and the NRL accountable. The fact is that a match offical went against clearly stated rules to interfere in a game and literally decide the winner. This isn't a case of a wrong call at the 60th minute or even the 75th minute.
If they had nothing to hide, Lee would have the tapes.
Annesley needs to be removed from his position along with Klein at a minimum. For Annesely to say at the presser "no apology to WT".....what a bunch of gooses... geese or whatever 🤣.
That's a bit harsh.100% no legal case? How do you know? Are you some kind of legal genius? If not, stfu.
Neither will happen because that would be admitting something more than a error in judgment happened. Annesley certainly needs to be shown the door, but if it did happen he would be replaced with much of the sameAnnesley needs to be removed from his position along with Klein at a minimum.
Well done linking the Don King and BB King names and this particular track @Plato.With B B King in the background singing "Paying the Cost To Be The Boss" just for V'Landys.
You could but you would go broke very quickly due failed legal campaigns. Been said a million times since Kliengate, unless we can prove that the game was officially over and Klein influenced the ref to continue, we don’t have a leg to stand on. Incorrect calls within the legal game time is part and parcel of all sport. That's a bit harsh.
Let's wait and see then - it won't go to court, I am sure if it. As much as it sucks, you can't take the ARLC to court every time you get a result you don't like.
You're 💯 correct when you say "it's not 1964" @TurnStyleOkay, so admittedly I may be being a bit paranoid about this, but in my line of work it often comes in very handy to check a file's "owner" (last person to have it open, when that was) or version history. It's literally a 'virtual paper trail'.
I don't use it to go and abuse anyone; there are inexperienced people who can (understandably) make mistakes or I may just need to know why a change has been made. If I know who did it, I can either help the person understand and learn from the mistake, or simply know what's going on.
My point is (not always clear! 🤣) that there is no hiding when the video footage was taken - it was broadcast live Australia wide.
But the audio is a different matter.
From the TV coverage we can hear parts of a conversation - what the referee said to Tamou, the bunker, not to mention a possibly to become infamous "no escorts" call.
But what was said by the bunker (Klein) to Sutton immediately following the kick off is to date unknown to anyone outside a select group.
This is the crux of the entire issue.
* by the way, am I wrong in thinking that the bunker is simply not allowed to just talk to the ref whenever they want during play?
Please do correct me, but I'm under the impression that they can only be involved when reviewing tries or captain's challenges?
(I'm so sick of typing "captain's challenge"!)
Thing is, the audio being requested by the tigers not only should have been made available immediately, and open to all to listen to, but the fact no one has 'laid ears' ?! on it after two weeks obviously makes people question why not!
The audio must exist. And as my understanding of these things goes, it must be saved as a file in audio format. A transcript would simply be unacceptable and for God's sake, it's not 1964....
Now, the video doesn't need a footprint, but if I were WT I would be demanding the actual file saved from the game.
If the file properties showed anything other than 24/7/2022, 5pm (whenever the exact time and date of the incident was), I would be extremely pissed and wanting a very good reason why.
Frankly, other than running out of space on a 5 inch floppy disk, I can't think of any valid reason why the nrl would have cause to alter the file whatsoever.
Just admit you were wrong! Ffs. Just apologise with sincerity already, don't let it happen again and let's move on!
