The fact they want to move discussion to the off season is revealing. Sheens should force their hand now.He can piss off and stay at Parra for all I care. How does confirming you will commit to the tigers next year derail the season?
Difference being that they had, within the (daft) rules, signed a contract with Parra/Manly for a future period. The issue is with them muckraking to bring the start date forward.Player kicks stones because they want to play for a better team for more money and ultimately breaks contract early. Seems pretty similar.
I hope they lose every game from now on.Unless The nrl do something which they won't don't expect any answers until Eels season is over
This actually is new thing and set a number of issues the NRL should stamp out.Matto and Aloiai already set the precedent. This isn’t a new thing.
I agree, I think Schuster is pretty close to being done and we let Paps goMy gut feeling is that we are looking to secure Schuster, if that happens Papalii will be released. Then we have to hope and prey Schuster will work hard on himself and his game, and also be willing to play backrow. Just a feeling that this is going on on the background.
Mate I hope you are right but it seems that clubs dont want to sign players who don't want to play for them, and no one will support making a player of that calibre sit out. It's a real catch 22 we need these type of players to improve our team but getting them when they have better options and changing the perception of the club is falling on deaf ears.My thinking is that few players outside WT try to wriggle out of contracts. There have been a few players let go early by their clubs recently but they seem to have been by mutual agreement. If we decide to finally show some courage Paps won't have a leg to stand on, excuses or not.
They should be working on Schuster to come with Paps, not instead of him, there should be no legal loophole for Paps to renege, the NRL should be made aware of what Parra are doing, but we all know how this club operates. If we pulled this on Parra, they would be straight to the NRLMy gut feeling is that we are looking to secure Schuster, if that happens Papalii will be released. Then we have to hope and prey Schuster will work hard on himself and his game, and also be willing to play backrow. Just a feeling that this is going on on the background.
Schuster and Papali’i are not in the same league. My gut feeling is that we are looking to secure Schuster, if that happens Papalii will be released. Then we have to hope and prey Schuster will work hard on himself and his game, and also be willing to play backrow. Just a feeling that this is going on on the background.
I know. Just saying I think that's what we are doing.Schuster and Papali’i are not in the same league.
He signed whilst we were favourites for the spoon knowing full well Madge was going to be under immense pressure. This has nothing to do with the sacking, its Parra now being able to offer the same as we did and getting in his ear to backflip.Sheens has created a fine mess here. We finally attract a decent player and we axe the person that got him here.
Rumour has it there is now an Eels contract on the table.Difference being that they had, within the (daft) rules, signed a contract with Parra/Manly for a future period. The issue is with them muckraking to bring the start date forward.
Papali'i literally only has one contract in the future. There should be no conjecture whatsoever until November 1 2024.
