fake rumour don't want him anyways. He should finish off his career in England where he should've gone a couple years agojust a question what's going with woods is the deal off or something cause supposedly this was a done deal a few weeks ago since then there hasn't been any updates on it
Benji and Robbie didn't have 120 kg monsters running at them week after week as 18 year olds. Compare the size the squads in 2005 to today. Guys like Suaalii might be able to handle it but the Roosters are easing him into the game. I think the halves of the future have to be big and mobile such as Cleary and Cherry- Evans.Just a reminder people that Sheens 1st grade debuted both Benji and Robbie as18 year olds back in 2003 …. my point being that don’t be surprised that over the course of next 2 years some of those promising young juniors get the taste of NRL under his stewardship.
Sorry Tigerman but AD is pretty average. He could be pretty good if he fixes his turnstile defence, runs with the ball in two hands, develops a kicking game and organises the attack. At the moment there is a lot of hype but not much substance. We’re got this bloke called Adam Doueihi who is pretty good
Was limping badly last weekend having had a down year. Sounds about right for WT.SEN Reporting swap deal imminent with Brooks to Newcastle and frizell to tigers... All we can do is pray
Schuster obviously needs to trim down but he offers a complete game - running, excellent passing and kicking plus he will tackle. I'm not sure where the rumour started but I hope it is true. He offers flexibility being able to play 5/8, lock and second row.Schuster would look pretty good at 6 partnering Brooks at 7 for 2023
Shuster is overweight and error prone you know the droppsies
Not to mention those no look passes.Shuster is overweight and error prone you know the droppsies
Wasn't even selected last week - for a gun player in a must win game. Manly/ Des may have a better read on him than WTs fans.Shuster is overweight and error prone you know the droppsies
Yep, agree on the style & size of players today vs 2005. But The Roosters threw Walker into the mix pretty much as soon as they could last year and I reckon he's smaller than Alfie Langer! And yes, Suaalii, was actually kept back for most of last season but has found a home on the Wing since Round 6 and looks a superstar in the making. Billy Smith is the one who has copped the career changing injuries over the past 2 years.Benji and Robbie didn't have 120 kg monsters running at them week after week as 18 year olds. Frizell would walk straight into our team, no questions asked. Anyone bagging him as a potential Signing needs their head read and ask themselves honestly who better could we realistically sign. Friz and Paps would be a huge leap in the right direction as our starting back rowers.
He has played 20 games a season for the last 10yrs. If he joined he would be the best backrower we would have had since Ellis hands down. Having him with Papa locks in the edges very very well plus gives us large forward & 2nd phase play upside.Sure when he's not injured.
I’m a big Frizz fan but he’s had an off year. Hopefully he comes good if we get him.He has played 20 games a season for the last 10yrs. Fainu is in your list twice, so we have an extra spot to fill.Hi guys, here is our updated 'contracted' squad list for next season.
Based on this, don't expect us to sign anyone else from another Club until we have officially released players under contract & have completed our internal contract extensions.
Summary @ 9 August 2022:
- 27 players contracted
- 1 player with a mutual option for 2023 yet to be activated (Ofahengaue)
- 4 players who are contracted for 2023 have been informed they can look elsewhere or reports we are willing to offload (Peachey, Liddle, Gildart, Tuki Simpkins)
- 3 players on contract being speculated as potential sells (Nofoaluma, Brooks, Jake Simpkin)
- 4 players off contract who may be re-contracted (Tamou, Talau, Madden, O'Kane)
Assumption 1 is that Offa activates MO, so that is 28 players officially under contract with 2 spots remaining for any of 8 players already within the Club off contract or on T&T - Tamou/Talau/Madden/O'Kane/Nu Brown/Tumeth/Freebairn/Dias.
Assumption 2 is we'll re-sign at least 2 of these (if not 3-4) in the top 30.
Assumption 3 is that we need other Clubs to officially take at least 3 of Peachey, Liddle, Gildart , Simpkins, Noffa, Brooks, Simpkin before we even contemplate signing anyone from another Club.

He is only a kid played 31 games and not in a row coming back from major injury he is only upside and will be amazing after a full off season offer him 300K ayear for 3 yearsHe is potentially a very good player but he is also a fringe first grader. If you get him you get him for cheap and it's about giving him an opportunity.
