But for a defamation case to be successful. You have to prove it is not true which is hard in this case as the term “weak gutted dog” is a personal opinion term. You also have to prove that your reputation has been tarnish - in this instance most people are siding with him not Ricky.

Personally I don’t believe Ricky should have gone about things the way he did but that doesn’t mean he is completely in the wrong either.

How do you prove it’s not true? That’s the point it’s a completely subjective comment with an unclear meaning.

As I said before people are commenting on Ricky’s behaviour and not on Salmon’s behaviour. Most people are just laughing at the absurdity of it all. You could actually argue it has increased his reputation.
