He has not taken "flight" in years.I know he does try but that does not mean he is what we need,he needs to see his career out in the ESL imo

What a great piece of writing from Nick Campton. Just like him, I'm hoping to see the Jet fly again. Just give him space and let him do his thing.

Look, has he been a gun center, not in ages.
But Jimmy has a few positives:
Played with Nofo in Junior grades. seems to play ok in our backline (start of year for several games... he was our best on field). Combines with people okish.
Has Origin and big game experience. You pretty much talking Jimmy, Tamou and Naden for that.
Okay defender that can cross the line.
My biggest question with Jimmy is 1st grade or reserve grade Depth. Sure, jet wise he is a bi-plane. no longer a gun for sure.
Our back line will be:
Laurie
Nofa
Naden
XX
Ken M
Starford Toa is kinda our XX and that's our big problem. We haven't had consistency in our back line. We have spent hard, but not landed the best talented centers and they haven't stayed to find a back row rhythm... Particularly in defense.
If Roberts isn't the 1st grade center, he could be the Depth center pairing.

JTJ has been one of my favourite players over the years and would love to see him regain at least some of his so entertaining Jet speed play 🙏

Hope Roberts is fit because if he is he's better than most centres.
Douehi may not give him enough ball but Madden certainly will.
Hopefully he will bag a couple of tries.

Sad, but oh so true regarding those alongside. Except the winger, that almost always gets it one or two passes earlier than he should through a cut-out pass, thus losing the opportunity that would see them unmarked.
One would have plenty of fingers left if counting the number of times Roberts has gotten decent service on that right side since here, so not just Adam either. I cannot recall a single situation where he has got early ball, and happy for anyone to remind me if there has been an occasion?
