Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Would have been interesting to hear what your grandfather would of had to say about the 1909 Final.

I would imagine he would of hated Souffs with a passion having lived through that era.
Is that the game both souths and tigers agreed not to show up for, because players had a dispute against the association.
And tigers stayed away, but Souths showed up, And Tigers were recorded as giving Souths a forfeit.

Why is it that the clubs that have the most superstars always seem to be the club most likely to land a superstar who's coming on the market .For example the roosters with teddy and their top 6 at $5.6 mill leaving less than that for the next 24 .They secure Brandon Smith and would also like to get Munster
I just don't get how the maths works ? Does all this all add up to the same cap which is about $10.3 mill in 2023 .
Dogs huge amount of signings for 2022 yet they land Kikau and probably more to come .
Sharks another one with a lot of signings
The odd thing is the original cap rorter the Storm years ago is one I trust more than most of them these days as Bellamy in last few years seems to have the extraordinary ability to take a lot of run of the mill players and turn them into stars . I think they have great ability to spot hidden talent but I think they just know who's got what it takes

Don't really know I was born jan 48 and he died in 1945 .My dad who was a real balmain diehard never told me much . I remember one day dad took me an 8 yr old kid to a balmain souffs game at Redfern oval and my dad was barracking loudly and a woman in red and green behind him was wracking him on the head with her umbrella .The crazy minor things you remember

Luke Keary is on
1million 300000, if he is on that, you work out the rest of them Manu is at the moment on 800 they admitted Keary $1-3 because they are about to let him go, so what is teddy worth $1-6, Warea $850000 there is $4-6 and I have only mentioned
4 players. How much do you reckon, I think just the top 17 players would be worth very close to $14ml if not more, and they have smith and poss munster to the list, but they are not worried about salary cap. ????????????????????????

I was at the SCG in 1970 v Souths when the queen was introduced to both teams.
I was in the grandstand with my dad and Laurie Nichols was shadow boxing in front of us. A number of Souths supporters got up and surrounded Laurie giving it to him, then all of a sudden Balmain supporters came from everywhere and surrounded them.

I was 14 at the time and was so proud.

Classic Roosters, they have a player on $450k, but when they leave it frees up $800k in the cap

And Laurie was 78 at the time! 🤣

Suaalii won't leave the chooks. Not worth the effort
Crap, he’s last interview he was like Doueihi with us, when they mentioned the wallabies. All he said was I am trying to concentrate on winning a premiership this season. He’s open throw the cash, he doesn’t want to wait for teddy to leave. Either way jack up his price and the rooters, we get teddy as a fall back. Win win
