Live Game Discussion, VS Roosters - Round 23 *Spoilers*

I think you will find Sheens has been involved with this current team , I’m not 100% but I think he would be at training and giving input to Noddy , I’d be very surprised if I’m wrong , also where was Sheens , Benji , Robbie yesterday , did they sense this coming and decided to stay away so not to be involved with the mess , ah well we should have a list of players who are leaving after next week for the last game , hope it is a good long list of names

Of course Sheens is involved with the selection and style that the team play and i would put the house on him being front and centre if we were going well.Everyone involved in the decisions made by the club this year have a lot to answer for but off course nothing will change except for another scapegoat being thrown to the wolves (Noddy will probably be sacrificed with an apple in his mouth).Meanwhile the real culprits Sheens Pascoe and the board will escape punishment.

You will hear crickets except for the palaver like the post asking fans for the best player last night - they've all shut up shop for the year.
I know I am kidding myself but I hope the club has a management and board review sometime in the next year because there's bigger things that are wrong than the coach that was sacked. I know some are on the Sheens train but I think it's a joke that that is what was their answer.
They will review themselves again the cowards

I watched the first half and switched it over to a Kiss documentary on SBS, which was surprisingly interesting.

Glad I didn't get on the fourm because I would have been swearing and cussing and drinking too much out of exasperation. Instead I woke up with a clear head - very unusual for a Sunday for me.

Thanks for posting the Instagram of Tamou - love the way he gave a message to Cummins I have wanted to give him for years. Cummins is channelling Peter Dutton more and more
I did the same. KISS doco was pretty good.

WTs official. Facebook had a post asking :who was your best player tonite'.... Every comment ridiculing and criticising the club for having the hide to ask that question.
Post has been removed.

The incompetence in this joint never ceases to amaze me
Our media department are as pathetic as the memberships drongos.
The whole joint needs a clean out from CEO to the cleaning ladies. They all contribute to the culture.

Have to agree Nu Brown has been better than both our other options at Hooker , I’d keep him and punt LiddLe and Simpkins along with Kel , Garner , Roberts , Gildart , Sayfart , Tamou, just to start that’s 8 spots

Not sure if I read any hype on here. He was just better than the other 3 options at hooker.
There was no hype. When he first got selected, a lot of posters on here waxed lyrical about how poor he is as a player.
He hasn’t lived up to that title. He has been solid to good every game ha has played.

Agree, isn’t even worth a mention

Let's not write off players that in past have shown they have huge ability and on some occasions have had really great games . Laurie and Douehi and Naden are examples of this .They were all pathetic last nite but some do have it in there somewhere and some don't
We do need to write off however players that are going elsewhere good or bad their hearts not in it Kelma and Garner should release now
We also should write off players that just don't have it and have never had a great game in 1st grade NRL and that applies to most of the pack excluding maybe Joffa and maybe newcomer Pole. Also .our 2 centers they are at best bench wingers .Sorry to say players at the back end of their career and out of gas can't fit in any more also

I reckon that’s in

I thought Laurie had a go and should be our mainstay at 1. The guy is brave and a great player.

Solid bench utility moving forward.....
Can play 6-9-13
Probably centres at a pinch....

If he sticks around.

It's going to be a very long offseason.

After that thrashing I bet we will hear more this week about Papali'i wanting to backflip and you really can't blame him.

Hardly any of the players showed much pride in the jersey last night.

They made Nat Butcher look like past great backrower like Beaver Menzies, Bradley Clyde

Last night is a lesson in salary cap "management". Compara us to the Roosters and how both have used the cap and there is light years between us.
Secondly it's also an endightment on the salary cap and proof it doesn't work. If the guys in HQ wer'nt crapping themselves after last night's debacle the game is dead. They should be panicking and plotting a way to implement a draft.
If players aren't happy then they can apply their trade in England or any other country that has rugby league in it.
If something is not done now about the disparity between the talent hoarding from the clubs at the top the game will eventually be committing suicide.
The Roosters are supposedly under cap pressure, yet are able to resign Crighton, it's a rort.

Well said.

It is like real life where 5% of the mega wealthy control 95% of the world.

In NRL Easts and Storm are the 5% and the rest make up the numbers.

Draft is the only way to go or NRL will slowly die allowing AFL, Union or Soccer to pick up the East Coast of Australia.

NRL Head office would be very much shitting themselves after this week's results and still two more week's of the regular comp to go. Could get even more uglier for teams like WT.

Faiders must be enjoying their good luck as they have the under performing Knight, Manly and WT which should be easy wins and a chance to scrap in to top 8 if Broncos keep on losing.

Sorry about hijacking the thread for a moment everyone.
It was a good listen to hear their roots and start; then with how it all started to go pear-shaped with Ace Freyley. Also, interesting that while Freyley and Criss didn't actually appear they used audion quotes from the late 90s/ early 2000s to give them a voice as well.
Simmons didn't go into his sex escapades, which i where I thought they might - it was quite well-done and a good listen even for non-fans( I did have a couple of albums but went off them in my late teens).
