I don’t really want either woods or Fifita but they maybe all that we can get , and for 1 year at a good price MAYBE . But I am sure I could put 50 names of players up now and I am 100% certain must in here would come up with some shit excuse not to sign them , I think we need to look where we are at , we need experience to help bring the kids through, and we may just have to sign low life scum bags

They grew up out Blacktown way and went to Griffith because they were in a bit of trouble and it was only gonna get worse.
Went down to Griffith and really came good... Got themselves contract with the Tigers and came back....
Fifita is a good guy, Bit of a boisterous bonehead at times - But a genuinely good guy....
I just said he'd be not good for the culture because he's a VERY LOUD Larakin,
At the end of his career.... I just can't see it as the right time for either of us
- We're in a delicate position... If we were Parra or someone like - He'd be great for the squad.
But we've got a heap of young blokes and him coming back for one last Rodeo with that kind of presence / personality could be fatal for some of the young blokes.
They've also been back plenty of times - Always welcomed.....

Sheens got rid of him for "attitude" issues although people have said it was free up money to help get Teddy Blair to the club.That worked well lol

We can look forward to some great recruitment under sheens in the form of your woods' and fifita of the Andrew variety.
Fifita has always above and beyond to help younger players. I think he would be good at helping develop our younger talent. Though, i would prefer someone who can offer more on the field than he now does.
"Bit of a boisterous bonehead at times - But a genuinely good guy" is an apt description. I think the story where he 'abused' a ref at a junior game is a good summary of him (though that was really all David). Dedicated his time to help out at training and run water at a junior club (the good guy). But, finds a way for his mouth to get him into trouble (the bonehead).
Flannagan woukd only take Gibbs off our hands if Fifita was thrown in the deal as I recall. The Sharks have been pretty much camped up the the top of the ladder since - even with cheating board, and lack of money dramas - while we have been on a steady decline.

I'm "Almost Certain" that We wanted to offload Gibbs to the Sharks and the only way they'd accept was if we let them have Fifita as well....
We did - And the rest is history.

There is a trend here. The only players open to returning to the club are out of options and still want an NRL comment.

Fafita would take over Woods & Tamou if had to choose.
This year - 18 games averaging 67mtrs 98% tackle efficiency, 19 offloads in 20mins a game.
If we want some mongrel & improve our defensive structures Fafita has been very solid doing his bench role this year for the Sharks.
Pole, Stef and Papa need some older heads to help them. Api can't lead by himself.

Only if he can pass the rigours of our new medical team and we'd only want him for 20-30 mins max per game (unless required for an injury).
It would be more for his experience, leadership & winning culture attitude from the Sharks. He is the type of alpha male we need in the pack.
From what I hear, he has matured a lot from those early years especially with a young family now.
No doubt we need at least 1 "hard head" in the pigs probably 2.

Yeah idk man, this guy who told me had no reason to lie...
He told me he played in Joel Thompson's years and he couldn't get a start at any of the local clubs.
Obviously this is coming from a hometown hero who never got a contract But he said the fifita bros were very disliked around town.
