Would we consider David Fifita? I know he broke out in raucous laughter when it was suggested “would he consider a return to the Tigers?” But the guy is as part of WST Tigers as anyone.

Nah, he’s a slightly better plodder than our current plodders. We need someone who dints the line and intimidates other forwards.

My wish list for next season would be Tapou, Fifita, Davey and Frizzell. All off contract all attainable. I’d even release Musgrove and resign Tamou another year.
We need a team of older heads in and around the group. I believe Pole is just the first of some decent front rowers we have coming through. We need props, I don’t see much point in picking up middle career ones as we would benefit most from props that can start and hold their own for a season or two whilst our younger ones develop further, with the idea of just dropping them in and out of first grade next year for experience.

How the hell could they get him under there cap they just got Angus in

Lodge had his 2022 & 2023 Warriors contract fully paid out so he is not considered as part of any new team's (Rooster's) Salary Cap cos he's effectively playing for nothing. A bit like SCOMO not getting paid for doubling up as a Phantom Minister or 5. 🍻

Because TPJ should be at a totally different level.
Instead he is kind of Cruising.

The roster the dogs have is a top 8 roster. JAC and Ballin are playing at that level, but not many others in their side.

Given Kautoga is picked ahead of Tumeth it suggests he has not re-signed and the club are investing in Kautoga.

Probably the right call but time will tell.

You'd like to think we have a spot for both boys next year (development or Top 30). If an offer is on the table and you are a young 2nd rower in the club, you would want to stick around with Papali'i the only NRL established player in that position at this point. The chances most likely won't be the same at other clubs for this point in their careers.

Wouldn't mind seeing Kautoga get his shot this week, return to Flegg for Finals and then give Tumeth a home debut at Leichardt Oval in the last round where he played his junior rep footy.

I get both sides of the argument. But no experienced coach wanted to coach us. Rookie coaches are knocking us back. That's the position 10 years of bad decisions get you. What we are doing now is what we should of done from 2013 or we should of signed a experienced coach to replace Sheens back then. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I rate Jack Gibson higher than Sheens. Achievements similar in the last 10 years

But he died 14 years ago, we are now talking about someone to coach our team, next year.

If we started next year with Api, Papa, Frizz and Fafita that wouldn't be a bad recruitment drive at all especially if we can keep Joe + extend Hastings.

Doubt we will get Frizz though, he is a player who would have a few options

that would be a terrible recruitment drive considering we had the two quality signings done in the preseason
