Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Liddle or Simpkin. They both don't look up to it.

Thought Simpkin did a decent job
There was a clear drop in intensity
When he went off and Liddle
Came on the pitch. Simpkin was
at least deceptive around the ruck
And put his runners onto the ball.
He also defended well I thought.
As other posters have mentioned,
he will learn a lot with Api coming.
Rua will be good for us next year
As well at 9 or 13, Liddle gone ...

Who's jagging the #14 ?

Rua or Jake ?

Nope, Liddles service was way better than Simpkins but we can’t have 4 Hookers so someone has to go. I wouldn’t count on Rua in 23 either let the kid develop.

I think early days it has to be Jake if you really need a hooker at 14 with Api in the team. Much will depend how Rua comes back from a bad injury but, assuming he comes back OK, Rua is a better option than JS in the longer term.

Yeah has a bit of work to do still...
fitness was his biggest issue and
Had a preety serious ankle injury.
He goes hard, 21 flegg captain &
Player of the year, was good in
Cup too, no reason he can't kick
on. Tough footballer, I like the kid
Absolutely I just don think we can put that back up hooker pressure on him yet, keep Simpkin or Liddle one more year.

Fact we are picking a team with about half a dozen reserve graders
Fed up with a team that's not NRL standard
Weve got Laurie, Nofo, Naden , Toa , Maumalo,Douehi ,Hastings, Madden
Musgrove, Ofengauhe,Brown ,
To go with Api and Papalii and our most expensive one Brooks
That's 13 and maybe Pole and Twal
We need at least 20 genuine 1ST graders we are at least 5 short
The rest are not NRL footballers
Tim Head of football whos recruited zero footballers
We need action this is embarrassing and your fans are HURTING!
can you also feel the pain?
Give us 20 genuine 1ST GRADERS
Then you can make up the balance of the top 30 with the best of your beloved developmental juniors

Ricky Leutele

Could be a target to bring much-needed experience & steel to our outside backs. Would not hold up progress of Feledy, Dotoi as they are a few years away yet.

- One of the form centres in Super League this season
- Experienced, powerful & fast enough for centre
- Strong defensively
- 1-2 year contract max & help bring through next era of outside backs
- A proven winner
- Still uncontracted in SL

"The 32 year old veteran centre" - sounds like "The Pathways" to a Retirement Home

Sheen's needs to call Jaydn S'ua agent straight away if he is wanting out of Dragons..
This guy would just kill it with us and today without really noticing he runs 222m and tears us apart. Sheen's talks about another starting 2nd rower and he fits the bill..

I know Jaydn’s family and off the field he is a very level heading young guy with a great work ethic. If Tim/Benji think culture is important he should sign him.

Calling Ricky Leutele 'a proven winner' is a bit of a laugh.

I hope we keep Simpkin. A couple of years learning under Koroisau will do him the world of good. Still very young in hooker terms.

Expect Stefano, Twal, Koroisau, Papali’i, Pole Blore (who was set to start in ‘22 on an edge), Hastings, Matamua will replace just about the whole pack and bench, come '23. Club also wanting to recruit an experienced starting backrower before season kickoff.

Need 2 good props also. And a centre. Possibly a half.
