The main problem we have with this is we cannot afford to wait until next year to see how he goes with a full team and spine. His manager as well as every other quality players manager will be getting contracts sorted out over the break and if we wait and it doesn't work out we have nothing to replace him with.
Just like AD is doing by waiting until after Nov to see whats out there.

Hastings should be the number 1 priority before any other player IMO

Didnt he run for 54m last week. The lowest of any outside back. Even in our Roosters debacle our outside backs ran for more. The bloke is an absolute cancer on the playing group and finally someone in the club had the nuts to trade him out. We need to keep him away from our club

Doubt you watched the game then.

Also wasn’t lowest for outside backs at least 10 others ran for less meters last round across the NRL.

Before the roosters game he was back averaging 150+ mtrs a game at the Storm & holding his defensive line.

People just want to make crap up at times

I’m not sure about your definition of a white hot crack. He played well , on occasions, but probably too nice a guy sometimes.
Can’t remember him ever really terrorising an opposition with either his attack or defence.

I remember reading/hearing Sheens recently saying they have got a lot of work to do in the background before any major recruitment begins. What I took this as was getting our 'ducks in a row' ...

1 - Getting the football, high performance & medical staffing locked in (The Mole today says Sheens has locked in David Furner as another assistant coach)
2 - Working with the assistants on our style of football which aspects can be developed down through the pathways

Hopefully the quiet in the background means Sheens & co are a long way in finalising these 2 things.
