I still canโ€™t believe there is no signings announcements , and yes every one donโ€™t like leaks but Iโ€™m talking , Wests Tigers are please to announce. Joe Blow has joined for 2 / 3 years. Etc etc. , itโ€™s either there are no signings or they are still in the top 8 , has to be

I think back to negotiations with high profiles targets played out in the mediai and how they ended. It would seem to me the negotiations for big name players are done well in advance due to need to create salary cap space etc.

Could be either but I have a sinking feeling that there are currently no signings.

My expectations for next season is that the best possible signing we will get will be someone like Staines - i.e. not a regular first grader yet alone a star.

The quality will have to come from juniors coming through.

We may be able to sign a quality player for the following year but I'd expect to have juniors filling more and more roster spots. Penrith do this and they've been great. Melbourne do a similar thing.

I can accept no signings for next year as long as there is a few top notch signings for 2024

We shall not sign mediocre and expensive players like Staines, and anyway, we shall first concentrate on the forwards. So, J W-H, Fanua-Blake, Solomona, Jr Paulo, Martin, Nathan Brow ...

Hypothetical given no new signings forthcoming

Would you like WT to take back Aaron "Dora" "Sharon" Woods if it means his good mate David Kleemer signs with WT?

Given lack of front rowers on the NRL market and a position WT are desperate for I say YES.

There's a name from the past:

Fish was graded by the Balmain Tigers in 1974. He made his first grade debut in his side's 21โˆ’14 loss to the Cronulla Sharks at Leichhardt Oval in round 18 of the 1974 season. In his first few seasons at Balmain, the club struggled on the field and claimed the wooden spoon in 1974 after coming last. In 1976, Balmain narrowly missed out on finals qualification finishing the season in 6th position. Fish finished the season as the club's top try scorer with 10 tries.

In 1977, Balmain reached the finals series for the first time since their premiership win in 1969 after finishing the season in 4th position. Balmain would reach the semi final but were defeated by the Eastern Suburbs Roosters 26โ€“2 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Fish also finished the 1977 season as the team's top try scorer with 13 tries. Fish was released by the Tigers at the end of the 1978 season, and subsequently never played first grade rugby league again. In total, Fish played 90 games, scored 30 tries, and kicked 4 goals.
