NRL Finals 2022 - Spoilers

My fears for the future of this game came well and truly alive today, with the 7 sin binnings and the constant lay on the ground either clutching a head or neck for what seemed to consume half of the overall game. We are seeing this creep more and more into all games, but today for mine really highlights the enormity of the problems moving forward with the new ruling system that has been brought in. For all the rule changes to speed the game up and make it more entertaining, well this ruling is now creating the opposite and giving players cause to rort the system that has been put in place in order to protect them. This will not be the last that we see of another game like today's.

Itd be interesting to see what the game is like 10- 20 years down the track

How soft it's becoming.
Can't rub anyone's head in the ground.
Should only be sent for blatant head highs, not this accidental as they're falling and the bouncing off the shoulders shit.
Deadset will be touch in 10 years.

Some people will marvel at todays game...but not me....don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating we go back to the 80's and 90's, The NRL hierarchy and the refs have ruined the game of Rugby League, some of the sin bins today were an absolute joke. Ashley Kline should be kicked out of the game, the NRL really should have a good look at the direction they are taking this game down...I think most fans don't like what they see

Klown bought it hook, line and sinker.

He ruined todays game in my opinion.

Thought there were a few unnecessary sinbins but Klein lost control and had to keep sending them.
There is a huge problem in the rules when a player can head-high an opponent and the injured guy is taken off for 15 minutes for an HIA, or worse for the rest of the game, and the perpetrator and his team get no punishment (other than giving away a penalty) and are better off by performing the infringement.
The roosters losing Teddy in that way was very costly.

I dont know but I think the bunker would be influencing the sin bin calls. Some people called it a great game because of the physical nature but I think it was rubbish

This is the first time since 2005 that neither the Roosters or Storm will play in the prelim finals.

The last finals series that did not feature either the Roosters or Storm was 3 years before the Storm entered the comp, in 1995.

I agree it wasn't a great game of football in the pure sense but as an all round package it was hard to look away. I couldn't even leave the room to get a beer in case i missed something and for me that is something these days as i rarely watch any games because of the boredom they produce. The fierce tribalism and the hatred of each other those two teams showed on the field is what is sadly lacking in todays game. Klein definitely lost the plot but his incompetence just added to the mayhem.

Couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

In two weeks I'm hoping Penrith will get the heave ho (even though I don't think it will happen).

The players were playing like thugs especially Radley and JWH. Deserved to be sent to the bin each time. I'm not Klein's biggest fan but don't think he could have done much else. The bunker made most of the decisions anyway.

The game was crap because the players were more interested in belting each other and showing why they are the alpha male rather than footballing ability. It was a pissing contest to see who's a tougher man. The game has evolved away from that years ago.

Watching the finals games one thing stood out was the strong packs and the collision !
Wests Tigers were collision avoiders
Self preservation comes first .. just arm grabbers useless
Funny you should say that ... watching Will Kennedy’s feeble attempt at a last line of defence tackle on Dearden on Saturday night, my first thought was -
he looks 100% Wests Tigers material 🤣🤣🤣
