Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sliding doors moment: wonder how different things would be if Ivan had stayed and brought his son to the WTs about 3 years ago? What other recruitment would that have brought and where would we be sitting? Also what would it have done to Penrith’s current dynasty?
We wouldn't be last

You wouldn’t bring in Munster for the money we would have to offer to get him to come to us as a Fullback. You would have him in the halves to play a more hands on position to get the value you paid him for.
With the right coaching he could play a hybrid type of role like Tedesco does at Easts. He won’t come here but he’s a unique talent that’s for sure.

There isnt much on the market until November 1st, so stay patient
We were fielding a Reserve Grade side for the last 6-8 weeks....and it wasnt even to benefit 2023?
Remember "next year we'll improve", we are the Wooden Spooners and now we're basically saying "year after next". The Board and CEO Fiasco have done a number on this Club.
Patient??? Is there any supporter of this Club who hasn't been, with the garbage we get dished up every year.

Such a critical time that I often think back on.

Funny you say that,I'm use to that too.
His demeanor seems changed in the last week or so to me on 360. Could be a leverage
situation though.
I’d hazard a guess the Tigers monetary offer is not to be sneezed at but when he looks at it from a best career path standpoint it’s probably a no brainer to go to the Dolphins who will get NRL favours in their infancy. It’s also where his partner wants to live. We need to be looking at the Payne Haas’s and Joseph Suuaalii’s of the world.

The joke CEO probably strips the club of 5-10 grand every week ( maybe more) in his wages and for what?

I think we’ve fielded a reserve grade side for 2 seasons

A Sheens strategy! Good mates with the author Tony Adams. Probably told him not to mention the Tigers because we are seriously in the hunt. Usually players mentioned that we are into, we are not or part of a bigger strategy. I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Moses thing is deflecting that we are really after Dylan Brown.
I hope you’re correct.

For mine a fullback can be even more important to a team then the 5/8. Especially for us.

Fullback can determine the defence for the whole side.
Can be involved in any play.
Can be utilised in kick returns and be in broken field play more often,
Can set up line breaks or tries.
Can be available in the middle of the ruck.

Basically Munster at fullback could be a cross between Dylan Edwards and James Tedesco. I was very impressed with his performance in the back end of the season with Melbourne. Mind you he was outstanding all year.

Potentially this...or I reckon it is his manager trying to get clubs who might be in the hunt to increase $$$ for him.
Totally agree though, we are usually getting played in these stories for the main target to get what they want. I might even feel more confident without our name being mentioned haha

If Munster wanted to line up at prop for us in order to get his signature...we do it. Seriously though, I agree with you and he looked just as good, if not more dangerous in the fullback position.

In a perfect world I would like

1. Munster

6. Brooks

7. Moses

9. Api

13. Joffa

Happy to lose Hastings, Douhie and Laurie
