What a joke the RLPA is. Better not upset the players that couldn’t be f’ed putting in all season. Happy to take the money tho.
This generation…. Good lord.

The players that missed the 8 but are playing in the World Cup would still be training.

We should have mandatory weight sessions to build all our players strength at the new COE. We looked physically weaker than other teams in our tackles, so that can be done without the intense sessions but would give us an edge we need before Nov 1.

If only the players wanted to better themselves in some way… I wonder how on earth they could do that…….🙄

We don't have many involved in the world cup do we?

As professional athletes one would hope they are all still training.

Can't take a trick, it seems:

Sheens regime’s pre-season plan dealt a big early blow

The new Wests Tigers coaching team of club legends Tim Sheens, Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah has been dealt a blow just days into the start of the new regime, with their plans for an intense post-season training session blocked by the NRL and RLPA.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the new mentors were hoping to run intense training between now and the NRL Grand Final date on October 2 in the hopes of getting the squad off to a strong start for next year.

But the Tigers, along with the other clubs that landed in the bottom eight, had already been told that once the regular season had come to an end, they were to send their players on holidays, demonstrating the communication issues that clearly still exist.

The Telegraph reports that an email was sent out by a ‘workloads and balance committee’ – though it’s unknown why that information wasn’t passed on to the incoming group prior to devising their plan.

The email also included a recommendation that pre-season training for 2023 should not begin at any time before November 1, as well as a recommendation that players not be required to train on Sundays when pre-season training begins.

PS What is a "workloads and balance committee' within the NRL?
Is this like the soft whistle?
These are terms not openly known before 2022.
What a joke - our team has been on holidays for most of the season.

Not sure how the NRL can justify this when all our squad seems to be on a casual contact. They turn up when they want and take their over priced wages.

The more I stew on this the more it annoys the .... Out of me. Fair dinkum all the coaching staff wants is to train until grand final day like the two finalists. We would then not return to training until later like the premiers. I think teams start way to early in regards to bottom 8.

Honestly nov 17th or something is like. 3 months before.

Come back Jan the 10th and train until kick off.

If the Roosters on Panthers asked for this the NRL wouldn't bat an eyelid.

as we have been told as true owners of the game, time n again, its our wish the GF is played when it is-i call BS
