Tripp is possibly as wealthy as Politis - he was only going one way. Braith would know how to advise them to be creative as he knows the inner workings at the Roosters.

And they also have the backing on the side via a former chairman who I know 1st hand has ALOT of business contact dealings and is still VERY focussed on the Storm player activities. He was very pivotal in the Storms books being cleaned & was CFO for the governments biggest funded project.

We were never a chance for Munster imho but it was worth showing interest even if all it did was push the price up.

At least Munster didn't bag the idea of coming here. He seemed respectful about our approach and the offer we put up even if it did push his value up.

Thought he was 28ish but he would start next year at 34.

You are correct, he is coming towards the end of his career, his best footy is behind him. He may have a 53% career win rate, but that is heavily weighted towards the earlier years in his career. He wins at 44% over the last 5 years. Like I said, I can't see him making a difference for us.
