To me, it looks like he played his hand well. Without seriously looking at the Tiger's offer, I doubt the dogs offer him 5 years. I also think the media talked him out of signing our deal. I don't think that the dogs would be great club to be at either, with Gus looking over your shoulder, but he's made his own bed....

His front on defence is more than fine....
But he doesn't cover anywhere near enough ground....
Players almost have to run right into him to get tackled...

If he's got to get to them - It rarely happens.

Seyfarth can go but noone can replace Twals defence, that guy is a tackling machine. Twal might not bend the line on a hit up, but his defence more than makes up for it, he's a beast.

Totally agree. I have said before that to win a premiership you need a reliable defender/worker like Twal. I don't think he knows how to miss a tackle
