One bad year doesn’t mean shit. The argument is Brooks has played 9 seasons with 1 club and hasn’t even lead them to finals footy. Cleary in his first year at 18 less experience than Brooks did it in his first year. He’s already achieved more than Brooks has in his first year in the NRL and he’s 4 years younger than Brooks. And yet he couldn't do it in 2019 when they had a much better team and he was more experienced.
Mate, you'd be better off debating with a brick wall. It would probably be more intelligent than most of Brooks family and friends on here, not to mention having the courage to actually take a firm stance on something instead of flipping back and forth.Brooks has been nowhere near our best. Not even close mate to one of our best. The argument is we paid Packer and Reynolds big money to do a job for us and they failed the same applies to Brooks as he’s playing one of the most important positions in the game yet he can’t even play the role right. Regardless of money Brooks isn’t doing his job and if he is moved on I won’t lose sleep over it he’s had his time to shine but yet he hasn’t. We’ve changed a lot of things but kept this guy some say it was out of loyalty yet no one else wanted him. Only reason Knights want him is because they don’t have any halves not because they think Brooks is good.
Agreed. Anyone who has watched Klemmer would know this but our supporters aren't exactly the brightest lot. Guy makes good metres, is aggressive and a workhorse and is only 28.There is no comparison between tamou and klemmer
I have not read the club is not intending to re-sign Hastings. Can you provide a link to this article? If the club does not re-sign Hastings to appease 2 juniors that have played 2 NRL games between them then the club is dumber than I thought.
Hastings is currently our best 7 and 13, it's beyond stupid to not try to keep the best players in their position unless they're over the hill.
Yeah, if he decides he wants to leave (he did come here for Maguire) that's a different story, you can't force players to stay. Will it be about this ? I think they've tried to re-sign him. I wonder if it's because he sees himself as a halfback rather than a 13.
The word I used is "if".I have not read the club is not intending to re-sign Hastings. Can you provide a link to this article?
Hastings is a 13 at WTs until end of 23. He will have to compete for the 13 with Matamua and Faagutu. I would have thought having competition for positions is a desirable outcome for results and culture.
The decision has already been made that he is a 13 and what better outcome for the club than make him compete for the position against two outstanding 13 prospects. By start of 24 both could fill the role. The word I used is "if".
Yes it's a good idea to have depth, but you don't dump your best player in the position because you have a few potential NRL players coming through. They have to prove themselves.

We'd be nuts to let him go or offer him peanuts so he leaves.
Sheens can be pretty arrogant but the way the side changed when Hastings was at 7 (or at 13) should not be ignored. Predictably the team completely lost their bundle after he broke his leg.
Apisalome Saukuru (2023), Justin Matamua (2023)Any word on where the development contracts are going?
sheens doesn't think so, I agree Hastings is important as a ball playing 13 not as a 7Hastings is more important to the team than Brooks.
Evidence: this season from Hastings & most seasons from Brooks other than his undeserved half-back of the year meme and debut game.
If Bateman has the will to win, but puts in poor performances, don’t you think this will be a net negative impact on the team? This may be the case but this side needs to learn aggression (Klemmer) and attitude/ will to win (Bateman). We are a powder puff side at present. Wouldn’t scare most NSW Cup teams.
He reminds of B Simmons - wants to play basketball and be paid 100k , but does not want to shoot the ball??
You become an expert after viewing so much wests tigers shit over the years. I'm not certain that our future coaching staff have viewed all our games over the years as us staunch supporters to get the overall perspective. So many experts on this forum who believe they know better than Sheens, Farah, Furner and Marshall.

think 2024 parramatta is a chance if they lose Moses or brownIt’ll be Knights. Only other team that could possibly come knocking is Parra and that’s if they lose Moses.
That's official at this point. Should see another couple with a development contract over the pre season.Apisalome Saukuru (2023), Justin Matamua (2023)
