I get the same impression. The situation can change though. I actually think Newcastle want Brooks and we are a mess and trying to figure things out.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Brooks go.

While some are speculating about Brooks' future, we could see a Brooks and Laurie pairing in the halves. Both are quick, pass well, have good footwork and can defend.

I like douhie as a centre not as a 6 in fact hope we keep him as a centre if he is happy to play that role
Again Sheens and management will make the call so wait and see I guess. End of the day if Brooks is shown the door so be it I follow the Tigers.

I think the Doueihi criticism is much more warranted compared to the Brooks criticism but your expectations matter.

My expectations were for poor performances from Brooks and great performances from Doueihi. I got below average performances from Brooks and the rest of the team but relatively I think Doueihi was worse.

The gap between my expectations and Doueihis performances was huge. Brooks played to me as good or better than what I thought he would.

I honestly can't see the Tigers letting Brooks go. Yes, there's plenty of unquoted journalism floating around but the speed and certainty we lose in letting him go for 2023 at this point is a negative. What if Doueihi or Hastings go down? Who jumps in and actually keeps us competitive? It won't be Laurie....and just like 2022, it will be season over (potentially).

Maybe Brooks jumps in 2024 but it won't be because Sheens/ Benji want him to.
