Correct, don't expect O'Kane to stay. He did have a deal offered to him but believe no longer on the table.

I reported the other day he was keen to stay & I believe that to be the case, but when Dragons offered to take him a full freight the club ultimately gave him no other alternative.

Think he was actually moved on to accommodate Klemmer or Leniu ?

I believe a deal will be done, but expected to see what's out there 1st. Nothing to report from UK so far. Brandon Mansfield I believe has actually been offered a 2 year top 30 deal.

Thanks for the update @THE_POM . Not sure how/where Mansfield-Webster fits into top 30 if we are actively seeking another experienced backrower & we'll have Papali'i, Blore, Talau, Tumeth, Pole & Seyfarth all able to play backrow with O'Kane, Kautoga and the likes of Lachlan Galvin coming through. Someone must see something in this kid that I don't.

Thanks POM, I think the club needs to invest its resources into Leniu, and Klemmer.. any new developments with these 2 seeing as though we just released Musgrove ?

Klemmer deal seems just a formality but with the Brooks news a I expect a delay in an announcement as a swap in some degree will be discussed. Leniu as mentioned previously has better options in front of him, not ruling us out, but highly unlikely. Expecting at least 3 more players to be gone from current top 30 before or during pre-season, Gildart, Peachey & Simpkin. Wouldn't be shocked if Maumalo ended up elsewhere also.

So @THE_POM , it may be too early to say but wonder whether Sheens/Benji/Farah would revery back to a Hastings halfback option, Nathan Brown signed for lock (Jake Simpkin to Eels) with potentially Rua Ngatikaura & Nu Brown or Mikey Tannous as backup hookers. We may need an experienced hooker on T&T list (i.e. Danny Levi).

Danny Levi is off to the Raiders, Rua will get his shot. Nu Brown I don't expect to be at the club, his management came to us twice for a upgrade on the contract he was offered & the club wouldn't budge. If Brooks leave I see Hastings going to 7, but Sheens thinks he's an outright 13.

I'm fine with him staying or going but I think we need some pretty big changes in the halves. I also think that leave Hastings at 7 which gives us a bigger pack.

Next up Hastings, Doueihi and Laurie. The question is do any of them have a part to play longer term.

Or Sheens has played check mate. We are only going to get a favourable outcome by publicly backing Brooks and talking him up for an extension. We don't want to come across as desperate
