Brooks if he is released will be the hard one as can't see any club releasing a NRL quality half/58th a season early outside of us especially as the cap has increased a heap for next season. People want him gone but we don't have anyone better + we are competing with the Knights positional wise on the ladder next year. Would be dumb for us to release him a year early without some distinct benefit. Albert Kelly isn't the answer.

Maybe Brooks is just after a contract extension. Forcing the Tigers hand to make a formal offer. Doesn't really make sense why he would want to move to another basket case team like the Knights knowing he will be harshly scrutinized.

The mail seems to be that Brooks and Klemmer will swap clubs on agreed salary of $800K per year. Tigers will then front a further $300K for Brooks to play at the Knights.

So if we are paying Brooks $300K to play somewhere else, how does that sit with everyone?
