Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Hasn
Be like when we got ballin, he got a good contract, then was on crutches when he arrived and played only a few games and retired, but he got his money. I would be very worried about Turbo with injuries.

2020 played 7 matches
2021 played 18 matches
2022 played 7 matches

WOULD BE BIG RISK FOR BIG MONEY.
Hasn't played much footy last few years, when he's healthy he'll be fresh and keen to rip in, Manly and dragons starting to look like a retirement home for tiger's players

Taking their sweet time to announce anything can sew why fans are hesitant we will sign anyone.

Still haven't replaced some players released earlier in the season

Clearing out some shit. Pretty good effort so far but need to replace them with reasonable quality players though.

Honestly thought we would be stuck with Musgrove and Liddle until they lapsed. Hopefully Brooks not far behind if Newcastle will pick up most of the tab.

The key is who comes in right.

I think though they are making the right calls to date on the existing crop.

Peachy, Gildart to go and from POM Simpkin also might be out.

Klemmer & Leniu right chases
Munster, Moses & Brown also good choices
Staines is better than we have & upgrade squad wise on Peach.

Naden 3yr extension is probably the only questionable call to date.

As far as I’m concerned if Knights want Brooks in ‘23 they pay full freight, or he can meet the KOE coach.

By my count, with Musgrove and Dias officially released, we have 27 in our top 30 for next year (including Talau and also Peachey and Gildart who are assumed to be being moved on).
  1. Blore

Even with Klemmer we still have a few spaces to be filled.

People need to understand we need to offload before we can bring in..
Only Dogs seem to be able to buy before they offload..

As a lot have said we have let quite a few gone and none signed but IMO Sheens is pretty smart and will have players lined up or even signed.

Exciting times ahead and a whole new team where they can set standards for moving forward.

Sheens has to jag some soon. Not long till training starts and I would assume that all clubs would be aiming to have a full preseason especially with incoming players.

If peachey goes - Staines takes his spot and leaves us with 28….
2 spots.

I reckon we’re at least 2 props and 2 second rowers short - a strike centre maybe and a quick Outside back / Fullback….

Normally I'd agree, but with the World Cup happening, all World Cup participating players are able to filter back into NRL club training depending on when they last played - they have to have time off before they rejoin their clubs.

If rumours of further departures are true ( and the departure ones usually are its the arrivals ones that are not ) we lose Brooks , Gildardt , Peachy , Maumalo and Jake Simpkin out of a list of 27 which leaves 22 including the likes of Reilly ,Fainu and Tumeth who have never played at NRL level
Everyone happy saying we just sign Klemmer ,Spencer Leinu ,Staines and Dylan
Brown but apart from Klemmer I seriously doubt the rest .
Seems to me that a lot of blind faith is hoping for some great recruits in November.
Please no more over the hill aging forwards eg Woods
