he wanted a release under MaguireBrooks has tanked before though. He did it end of 21 against the Dogs to try and get Maguire sacked
does he necessarily want that under Sheens, not so sure hence don't think Sheens will be letting him go in 2023 unless we sign a George Williams or something
He also got the almighty dollar…..but yeah time for both parties to start fresh….I actually hope he goes welllI hope that it does work out for Luke at the Knights, at least he was loyal when those other 3 Aholes went chasing the almighty dollar.
I don’t know how he has handled the pressure that was put on him by the media etc, and remained sane.
Just glad that it’s hopefully over now and we as a club can move on.

from all reports he has not asked for a release in 2023, he has advised in 2024 he is signing with Newcastle.Think he’s just over being here. If it was just Madge don’t think he would be asking again to be released.
The same way Api and papali signed with us 12 months out

If he hasn’t asked yet it he will be asking soon. Unless he’s fine with playing out his contract, he will be asking for the release. agree he may well ask but Sheens won't strengthen another side by giving Newcastle a 7 in 2023 if he does not have what he thinks is a suitable replacement. If Sheens doesn't see Hastings as the 7 then he won't release Brooks in 2023 so Hastings can play 7 then sign Moses or someone in 2024 to play 7 and shift Hastings back to 13.If he hasn’t asked yet it he will be asking soon. Why? It's a suggestion and rumours thread. It's being suggestedCan we stop talking about George Williams. He is contracted to Warrington until end of 24 and only ever spoken about being happy at the club.

Don’t forget though his family live in the Illawarra region. If he moves up to Newcastle he’s further away from them. The only team that may be a threat is the Dogs. Don’t think Knights are considering him based on how much they have openly admitted they want Brooks.
