I'm a wests tigers supporter not a magpies or balmain supporter .Let's just drop it . By the way my previous post where I said " I hope not " I mean I hope that that Nov recruits are good . The hope not means I hope not that it's disappoints. All in all too much emotion topic closed

I can see what you are saying but I don't see it as killing off a foundation club.
The foundation clubs can still live on off the back of their past glories and proud historical achievements, but it is just as important that we move forward as a united joint venture because we have to realize that there is no going back to the way things were as sad as that may be.
What is important is that we are united as one and there should be lots of opportunities taken to celebrate the past and to educate younger supporters that know nothing or very little of our long and proud histories while still being able to move forward.
I see having our NRL team and KOE teams under the Wests Tigers banner as the most outwardly visible way of showing that we are united or at the very least trying to be united.
When it comes to teams like the Storm and Roosters, even though they have been very successful in recent years and the fact that they are very well run is difficult to argue against, but one thing that I have trouble getting my head around is that the Storm don't even have a reserve grade team to draw players from in the same state and the Roorters have a reserve grade team on the Central Coast one year and over the Harbour Bridge the next, pretty poor effort in my book for a team that has been around since 1908.

9 of the 16 teams don't have a reserve grade team of the same name so I don't see the need. If there was an NRL reserve grade comp then I'd see the point. The most outwardly way to show unity would be one ground. More than one ground is a split club. Removal of Wests and balmain board representation would be another.
Putting the pro’s and con’s together of for and against in having a United brand I’ve concluded that our best option to assist with the one club model may actually be to separate the two clubs. That is at all levels below NRL.
Obviously everything is Wests Magpies / Wests Tigers funded but if I’m looking to be a development club and am encouraging growth in our ranks and inclusion in our regions I feel the best way to achieve this might actually be to have the Balmain Tigers rep from HM to KOE and likewise with the Western Suburbs Mapgies.
In this set up you create a community of kids that have grown together and are likely to continue to be able to play together for the one club.
The best ones would be recruited to future Wests Tigers contracts for a genuine pathway to first grade.
Train and trial players would be signed to each of the KOE teams which would feature kids promoted from each of the Flegg Sides and supplemented by depth signings from other clubs regions that contracted to the top 30 of the first grade side.
I look at the HM undefeated team of this season and I think, how can I achieve an environment where I can ensure the majority of those boys will become WTs players. And of those that don’t quite get there, how can I keep an interest for them to want to continue trying to play rugby league for their region and encourage another group of young kids to band together and be the next undefeated or championship HMs or SG side? Ensure that they have that pathways in place to flow on up to Flegg and eventually NRL.

I was not talking about lower grades the NRL competition is not lower grades that is SG ball Matt's KOE cup and ARL was not lower grades

Just one question I see in memories thread you say club is half assed merger and I agree . When you say you follow both ? Do you mean Wests Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies ?
Well someone mentioned BWM actually as the other one.
Ok I have been overseas for a month and it appears nothing has changed . BUT we have been dumping players left right and centre , yet there is no word on who will fill these gaps , maybe we are waiting for 1/11/22 too release names , but really if we don’t sign at lease 3 class forwards it will be another long 2023

He played 18 games this season get him on the cheap he has good habits trains hard good role model for the kids
The thing I worry about is that the kids will have bad role models pick up bad Habits and if they have weak senior players who cry as a way out of being responsible for the results and train soft then say goodbye to them we need a couple of hard heads to lead by example
Same was said about Finucane & we passed on him.

the only other joint venture club is St George Illawarra Dragons, in NSW Cup they are St George Illawarra Dragons. Wests Tigers should be wests tigers in nsw cup not Magpies.
Roosters, souths Manly etc are not joint ventures so they elect to partner with Norths, newton's blacktown etc
Sooner NSW Cup is changed to wests tigers the better to show unity of one club

His very public recent comments around recruitment – first Cameron Munster and now Mitchell Moses – being offered multimillion-dollar deals is hardly encouraging for current halves Luke Brooks, Adam Doueihi and Jackson Hastings.
All three are off contract at the end of next year and can talk to rival clubs from next week.

They got the wooden spoon..fair dinkum they need to toughen up or get out. Not one player apart from Offa and maybe Hastings can winge about anything after some of the performances.were put in.
Instead of winging about it, get on the paddock and work on the individual.negatives each player has.
The fans are over unaccountability. Unfortunately the board and Ceo arnt accountable so see why the players are as well.
Brooks has one foot out the door to Newy, AD didn’t want to talk about extensions until after the World Cup. Hastings has been told he is seen as a 13 and not in the halves.. where is the problem???
All very well if you can replace them. If Sheens doesn't have them in his plans tell them so they know where they stand instead of grandstanding about going for players who have no intention of signing no matter how much he wants to throw at them.
