The Melbourne Cup

I agree that Emissary looks a good chance tomorrow. I also think the favourite will be hard to beat. I used to own horses in the 80’s and 90’s with 4 mates. The horses were constantly running places, but could only win at the provincials. I now have shares in 5 horses, all of which are well bred. One is racing at Flemington tomorrow in race 5. It is called Pyrois, and is a good each way bet, as long as the track doesn’t get into the heavy range.

I always think to myself theres thousands of easier races to try find a winner all year round ... I'll probably back something though... Wait and see where the $$$ are going on
spot on
in Europe as an example no group 1 races are handicaps they are all weight for age
Given the size of the field it is always a lottery the Melbourne Cup.

good luck with Pyrois tomorrow

I was checking out some "Backmasking” on The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver.
I can report some insightful if not disturbing lyrics that sounded like " stockman" followed by repetitions of "nine, nine, nine"
What's it all mean?

There's always a good handful of horses worth looking at in this race. Just as many are simply making up the numbers.

I'm thinking Montefilia, Lunar Flare &...High Emocean keeps catching my eye.
