Hastings has no loyalty to WT, he is loyal to himself and what he can salvage of his career and we will see that playing out over the next couple of months.

Isn't everyone associated with NRL looking after their own best interests - you would be very foolish if you didn't.
Hastings has been at the club 1 season played pretty good. If Sheens is not interested- seeing he holds the keys to every thing associated with footy - who's best interest should Hastings be looking after?

it would seem pretty certain Brooks and douhie will be here 2023.
Think if Hastings can get a 7 gig 2023 he will be released early
2024 all three look to be gone, Brooks chasing the cash, do think douhie if he wanted to play centre Sheens might keep him who knows

Why would an article say that if the Brooks deal was done, maybe it isn’t done after all or they are just waiting on Moses to make his mind up in hope Brooks/AD deals aren’t done.

Also interesting about the comment that the Knights haven’t even asked for a release. Alot of fanboys keep saying he is gone & won’t be here next season.

It sounded very clear Sheens does want Brooks not just for next year but did give the impression they are waiting on other decisions to land before they lock in contract talks.

sheens would probably like Brooks to stay in 2024 but if he goes what can he do. Either way we won't be paying top dollar for brooks or douhie you would think.
As for 2023 I think Newcastle can go fish, as Brooks is not going there in 2023.

We won’t release Hastings early as we won’t have anyone to play 13.
