He did have a 2yr deal at the Titans for 22/23 then left halfway through 22 (18mths short) to play in the ESL with Hull for half a season.

He did leave the Titans on compassionate reasons and maybe him leaving the Titans midway through 22 as part of the agreement he couldn't play for another NRL team same year.

Maybe he has a house and family out western sydney. Playing for the Panthers, Eels and now us over close to 10yrs & coming back from other side of the world would indicate he has something out west.

Most of the good juniors are 15 to 17 age need time to develop.

Remembering the under 21 age bracket have been heavily covid impacted.

I wouldn't knock what the club are doing in junior pathway space.

Sheens has already flagged seeing some 18yos debuting in 2023, would expect a very young NSW Cup group.

Another fill in for 2023 only,,. It's quite obvious the club is aiming to clear the decks for 2024,
2023 is the last for anyone without a 2024 contract i imagine. It looks as though Tim is saying no new deals for AD and Hastings, He said Brooks won't be released, and has bought another half. That means we have 4 halves,-- someones going !

Then we can fill for 2024 and clear the decks for 2025.

It must be those 1000 or more NRL games I’ve watched over the years, standing up catches up with you eventually.
But I’ve got my Naproxen and Osteos to see me through( along with a couple of other little helpers, so to speak).

Ad as i said, on previous form, he is far better then the pretenders we currently have!

It may work, he might be looking for an upgrade if he performs. For the money its a smart move.

Seriously!!
- Will Smith was a mainstay utility in a top 4 team in 2021...
I can promise you they'd have liked him this year.

He's got 100 NRL games under his belt - The Majority in a top 4 side...
He's costing 50k for the year and will be a handy backup.

He's played 100 more games than the rest of the NRL train and Trialers combined.
This is a decent signing.... You want a reserves team full of kids to get lapped every week again this year?

Common sense not real common on here - There isn't any team not buying Will Smith for $1000 a week.

We won't make the finals next year so how will he improve this team going forward since he won't be in it?

I'd prefer to look into our side for a utility. Not outside. Peachy and Moses have already proven the lack of success we've had in that area.
