Jackson mentioned in the pod club have given him time off and he's been in America. Doesn't that suggest the club haven't talked to him about all this Bateman stuff and he is just doing his own head in.

I think some on here do their own heads in by speculating and assuming what needs to be done and who we need...as we all know things can change in an instant which was proven by the injuries to our team last year,the sacking of Madge and chasing Ciraldo ..
Best we wait and see who appears in preseason or hear from the club officially...

I'd like to think the two aren't related. We need better players to augment our existing squad. Hastings has played well at 13 but if he isn't happy move him on in exchange for another good player.

Is it just me, or didn’t blokes used to say , I’ll play in any position the coach wants, just to play first grade.
Isn’t it about the team, and what can be achieved by you playing a certain role , rather than this type cast I am a 7 or 6 or whatever.
Can’t see Munster saying to Bellamy, sorry can’t play 1 coz I’m a 6.

The incoming coach moving players out of their comfort zone to get some kind of reaction? Most likely negative. Sheens is looking to sign a 13, 7/6, and 1. To me that looks like the spine is under pressure?

The coach is backing a player ahead of him in the most important position on the field who "reportedly" doesn't want to play for the club in any position and possibly for a second season in a row. How do you think that goes down with the rest of the team?

I thought that first game, when Hastings had the 13 jersey, Doueihi 6 and Brooks 7, was a sliding door moment. It didn’t work and I’m left wondering why?
I have a couple of thoughts, but pure speculation and both don’t inspire any confidence that the new coaching team are up to it.

If I remember, when Brooks and Hastings were together they played very well, shouldn't Doueihi be in the centres were we need some strength, or are we just catering for people that want to play in their preferred position and not whats best for the club. I am a Hastings fan, he wants to win and a talker with good skills and control. Loosing him would be a mistake

Except nowhere has he actually said he won’t play 13.
This has come from Brooks fanboys.
The same fanboys who say if he’s not happy here get rid of him… all the while forgetting Brooks has asked for a release more than once.
