Imo the Roos spine was really off. Basically won it from forwards and backs. The game was there to won for NZ.

Madge should of taken Smith off earlier, bad mistake which end up coasting them the game.

Tough one to use as a comparison, any good spine with good combinations should of won that game

Both spines were off.

I thought the Kiwis energy really upset the Roos playmakers. They were rattled.

Smith needs to put his hand up if he’s cooked. It was early second half.

It was an old fashioned forwards battle. The spine isn’t the be all and end all as some would believe.

The ref had a hand in that as he was letting a lot go.

Smith did a lazy play for the penalty before the try sign he was cooked.

If Murray picked up on he was tired intentionally what a great play.

Melbourne have stuffed Smith at 9 playing him at 13 most his career. Should of been a known risk.

Yeah it was obvious he was shot because he didn’t move up and left a clear hole to run at. Great work Murray to run that hard for a guy whose not a tank. I don’t blame Madge for that, your hooker shouldn’t be cooked in the 55th minute.

Murry one of the best atm imo.
 
The Kiwis shut down Cleary and Munster and frustrated them out of the game - they were less than ordinary.
Only the second time I've seen the left foot in front of the kicker rule prevent what looked a fair try. NZ played more footy, but Aus did enough to stay with them and rely on a couple of individual plays. Good game.
