@THE_POM will Brook's deal be a cheaper one then the deal he is on atm?
How much of a pay rise will Hastings get at the Knights.

Tamou was in average form when we signed him. Klemmer is still a top line prop but it just so happens Newcastle have 2 other top line props who are on less money. What are peoples thoughts on Klemmer?
Obviously he will add to the forward pack but will he be Tamou 2.0?
Klemmer is 27?
Are Newcastle chipping in anything for next year or are we taking him on full freight next year and revised contract the following 2 years.3 year deal for Klemmer.
Nathan Brown is still in the works but feel now Bateman is done Matamua will top the spot for Brown in the squad.
George Williams did OKish for Canberra, IMHO would prefer Hastings.Seems like it. I’d prefer George Williams or Moses at 7. Brooks 6. If Sheens/Benji has Brooks staying in the halves.
Can Tom Araya confirm any of this?Hastings has scored himself a hefty pay rise with the Knights.
Once it was clear that Brooks wasn’t going to be released for 2023 Knights changed focus.
Sheens met with Hastings management & made the point very clear that his future was at 13.
It moved fast from there.
The hope is to build a forward pack that Brooks can actually play off.
Bateman deal will be finalised in the week but he will be here.
Very early talk for Brooks but the club would hope to present a restructured deal for 2 year extension but a reduced rate.
Very important meeting with Moses management next week where a formal offer is expected to be presented.
Matamua expected to be elevated to top 30.
That is good news.3 year deal for Klemmer.

All players except Brooks.Love that from Sheens. Players should have to earn their next contract. It shouldn't be handed out based on potential. If they go and sign somewhere before that happens, then it is what it is and their heart was never really in it.
With the forward pack we're assembling there are no more excusesAnother extension for Brooks...
This guy better have a stand out year in 2023.
The guy owes us, the fans, something.
Finally some good news.Don’t see a spot being used for Woods.
Something people said about Dale Finucane at the Sharks.. "he upgraded our game".Tamou was in average form when we signed him. Klemmer is still a top line prop but it just so happens Newcastle have 2 other top line props who are on less money.
U do know that u can only fix so much in one year , getting a forward pack is the right start , u can pick up a couple of back s the next year ,8. Stef/Pole
9. Api
10. Klemmer
11. Bateman
12. Papalii
13. Joffa
You can’t tell me that’s not a handy pack
Shame about the 1-7
bask in the sunshine,a break from doom gloom and rain, party at my placeSomething people said about Dale Finucane at the Sharks.. "he upgraded our game".
What concerns me is our front row needs an upgrade, someone who will help them train better. I think Tamou could have been that but he can't carry the pack himself. Tamou working with Martin and Isaah and all those Penrith young players worked well for him. It did not happen here, and I don't get that.
We need to have a good hard look at the WT as to why Tamou and our pack did not fire. All attention seems ot be on 1-7. Without go-forward as we saw last year..... WE are dead. We had Nathan Cayless, a great player and we had Tamou with our pack. We were steamrolled. Why?
You mean like Wests Tigers Forum members.More challenging that when he fought aliens or zombies ?
And a lot of heart. He ran as hard and straight as a forward should.Rather Matamua. The kid has some talent from what he produced.
Tamou was covered at Penrith by a great pack...they did not miss him even a moment. As a mate said, half of Tamous 'meters gained' were from kick off returns.Something people said about Dale Finucane at the Sharks.. "he upgraded our game".

Unrequited love.Heartbroken about Jackson Hastings
3 year dealIs Klemmer for 23 only? (i.e. his current Knights deal)
Or have we included an extension?
If it is for one year only and big Klemm then bolts, it is a fairly bad deal losing Jacko.
Do you know if Klemmer is being extended?
I'm not a brooks fanboy - i'm one of the few who think Brooks, Douehi and Hastings are all shit. The sooner the club rids itself of all 3 the better.
