Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well that shows you how much other clubs really thought about the talent's of LB.
we could not get newcastle to give us their $800.000 man in exchange 4 our 1ml man.
But they take our cheaper half, worth 3 to 4 hundred thousand instead.

In exchange for Klemmer.
Man that was hard to read

Yeah, I'll start one and edit with changes whenever they happen if you guys want.

For sure.
I'll pin it.

Appreciated massively
Who you reckon?

Wonder if there will be more outs?
Any thoughts on who should be captain ? Hastings the obvious choice IMO but has paid the price for stepping on the toes of the Chairmans faves

This thread has gone on mainly about our forwards and half's. It seems that now we have a few good forwards and a bit of depth . Our half's are Brooks and I assume Douehi ? What we also need is a good backline and I guess we have Laurie at FB - i am a fan simply because he has guts and shows effort
We have a lot of wingers with Nofo, Kenny , Naden , Staines ,Toa and Kepoa as well as Tupou ( all these were wingers originally imo )
I would go with Nofo and Staines on the wing as I feel Kenny will still be injury prone . We don't really have any great centers ! Talau was sort of ok before his big injury and I'm a fan of Naden and wonder if he could master the centers
Wish we had a Farnworth type or even a Bradman Best ?
Stains im sure was bought for fullback. He played next to Edwards at FB , one of the best in the game. He's super quick, comes from a very professional and well trained side . I think he will be a standout given some time to adjust . As i have previously posted ,i would have signed Stains for 3 yrs, Both Laurie and Stains are not signed beyond 2023. That means the club is not convinced either of them are the right fit. Go figure !

Five players contracted for at least 2023 or longer moved on since the end of this season, so plenty of change in the roster that came stone motherless.

A matured and ready to return to Australia Williams would be nice, as I have a little trouble accepting Moses back, and it would mute the halves talk.

I think they will spend the money they saved on the Broncos fullback

I expect a deal has already been reached at WT, and will be announced after the dust settles from announcements of other major squad positions being filled.
If it has been done, it will be good for the club to have another one club WT. A great effort from a local junior.

I cant imagine Doueihi being a success at FB, he has the turning circle of the Pasha Bulka. I can imagine he's having a massive strop and wants out, tbh ever since he strolled out of the line to pick up his mouthguard against the Roosters i wanted him out too.

Another day another 100 posts about Brooks, few lads in here’s misso must’ve copped a few inches from him back in the day and they’ve never gotten over it by how much they carry on, he’s a tigers player, we got a competitive pack with players still hoping to prove something so it’ll be good to see them rip in.

Tigers want to be a club that promotes it's junior depth. You can't halt whatever progress Naden, Kepoua, Talau, Falou etc were making by bringing in guys to bump them down the list. These guys have first grade experience now- it's not like Pole, Matamua etc who have a handful of games to their name. Experience up front makes sense. Let the young guys play out wide. Another young winger to develop, or a 5/8 to develop perhaps?

If the club is looking at another experienced player- Nathan Brown to add some starch off the bench.
Yeah butter wouldn't melt in his mouth aye
Just noticed you are a Mod now Demps, congrats

Trying not to get too ahead of myself, because our backs and halves are still not great. However, the pack looks insane

8. Klemmer
9. Koroisau
10. Stefano
11. Bateman (if he joins, which looks more than likely at this point)
12. Papa
13. Matamua (trust in this kid to play limited minutes at the start, hopefully grows into the position)

14. Rua (covering hooker and lock)
15. Ofahengaue (covers prop and lock depending on where Rua is subbed on)
16. Pole
17. Twal

Blore and Talau are also second row cover... expecting Blore to eventually come into the side but needs limited minutes first
