Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

It would be the best forward pack in the comp and the worst backline.
Yep. None of the backline does it for me. Nofo wouldn't be bad if he just runs straight and not prance around all the time.

Centre , after front rowers is the biggest issue we've had for a long time. No idea why we got Naden on a longer deal. He can't defend and his hands arnt great.

Can we just have a couple decent centres for a change

Noffa is at his best off the back of quick play the balls and the team going forward.

If we can actually do that, he’ll be hard to handle if he goes looking for work.

That's very debatable.

I think in 1989 its fair to rate the Tigers pack slightly better, but not by much. However 1990 I give it to Canberra over Penrith comfortably.
Really? Tigers had it all over raiders. Walters, Clyde, Lazo all young punks. Coyne, lance and Todd ok players.
Junior, Siro, Maguire, blocker, benny. Not close at all imo.
Id rate the Panthers pack better too the year after. Stuart's kicking game compensated

Brown fits the ball-playing lock role Sheens wants. He's as good as any forward when it comes to ball playing, it was like he was playing halfback for Italy at the world cup. I'd be more than happy to land him for a couple years with Parra paying some of his deal.
I agree , he would do a good job for two years until the kid get up to speed .
BUT I am sure there are people on this forum who have no idea about football and make their decisions on players past , yes he left us back then but he is what this club needs now , MONGREL , for too long now we have been walked over , what we are building now we will complete with the big boys

Talk down the local pub last night in WTs territory was that Chris Heighnington was being brought back to work at the club with the Pathways. I know Benji and Farah are great mates with him - could be some truth in it.

Sheens asked fulton to coach the juniors but turned it down due to day job and family

89 Hard to judge as like you say, Lazzo, Walters and Clyde were young. Lance was very good.

Penrith I don't think are better at all.

Lazzo, Walters and Todd much better than Walker, Simmons and Clarke.

Backrow maybe give to Penrith with Cartwight and Geyer over Gaffey and Coyne, however Geyer is one of the most overrated players of all time. I wouldnt argue against someone saying Gaffey and Coyne were better.

Lance over Mortimer at lock for me, although I do like Mortimer.

From memory, Nathan Brown would basically go bashing everyone and up the physicality.

Were getting him at the end of his career. We need to write the contract on a year by year or 2x year basis tops.

Andrew Fifitá and Woods attitude is wrong. Brown has done alright and heck would be a good depth signing.

My theory is the Italian side had a WT influence and they had a look at Brown at 13 noticed Brown was doing the dig in the line and pass for the Italians. Looked good in that role.

Hed be a hasting replacement that likes the tough stuff
