I don't recall how Twal was concussed earlier in the season, but his last one wouldn't have knocked anyone out. It was a deliberate dog act by Burton and because he was/is one of the golden child nothing was said. Falling from 2 metres above ground with a 100kg athletes hand controlling your head and slamming it into the ground with that 100kg frame not allowing the head to bounce up off the ground was disgusting. Burton knew exactly what he was doing, then saw Twal lifeless on the ground, looked at him and jogged on.

Can we not medically retire him until he is genuinely ready? Opens up a spot and we can sign Andrew Fifita. He has that intimidation factor we are working on. Unlike Woods. Woods just looks like a giant smore

Fifita has retired. Requires a bucket load of surgeries if he were to continue. Not worth it for him unless the offer is more than what we (and others) probably offered him. Understandable.

Much like the movie Crazy Stupid Love - “Be better than the Gap”.

So be better than Twal.

I want a team where people can’t believe we’re under the cap. Twal doesn’t fit that team.

Maybe he can cook the bbq though on the sideline?

He averages over 100 m.

I reckon he is pretty good but he is a role player. The good thing is his defense is good which means he isn't a liability.

You need middle forwards who get you a role on. He doesn't do that.

A better version of Finucane for less money.

Yes he is needed in the team for his defence, but the other 5 need to be able to bend the line , KLEMMER , stefo , papa , and if we GET Bateman they can break the line , we also have one one the best hookers in the game , so for me , woods and Nathan brown would not be out of place somewhere in the 17 , OH and don’t forget POLE he’s a keeper

I mentioned this a mate at the time. He said I was being biased. But Burton clearly and deliberately locks in and with full force slams Alex head. I am glad someone else seen it. I was ropable nothing happened to Burton

Tackle efficiency is the only thing people bang on about...
He doesn't cover much of the park for mine... If someone runs within a couple metres of him, He gets a hold of them....
There's so much put on us through the middle, He doesn't get anywhere near....
And if he's the terminator in defence like everyone bangs on about - He's getting there...
Even Jake T (Who's much maligned) covers heaps more ground than Twal.

I can wear him as a bench prop, If we get another weapon or 2 in the middle....
But not outside that....

He's a David Gower, First man up to the bench when you drop a prop.

100% he's not a starter but can play a role in the 17 with a balanced pack. We don't need him to cover the park just do a job shoring up the middle at times.
 
Twal is so 2022.

I’m a 2023 man myself - Twalless.

I’d rather have a guy that takes it up off the back fence. If Fifita was still ok, I’d take him.

Andrew Fifita retired ...did you mean David Fifita or David Fifita Suluko ...???
