Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

This is a great point happy. Its
a useless stat that stifles teams'
momentum. Players use it to pad
their overall meters by dragging
defenders with them — it slows
down all continuity. You gain the
meters you would have earnt and
more by hitting the deck and
promoting the play the ball as quick
as possible. Allowing the defence
to readjust their line for an extra
few meters in contact is straight up
bad coaching. Need more spark

It's about getting a roll on isn't it.

I still have a question mark over him in big games. Failed in his only origin and now faltered in the finals a few years running. Take away his international forward pack and what exactly are you signing?
I cant stand Moses as a person, but he has improved as a player - especially his kicking game. Still reckon he's a downhill skier.

But you cant question his origin performance, won't be first picked every again, so many injuries in the lead up to that one. he did however prove his toughness.

It's a silly argument though that Cloudy is going on with. It's semantics. I completely understand how something is stated and then the situation changes. It's never over until it's official.

Same as the Bateman signing. I assume it's a done deal but until it's official it really isn't.
I viewed The POM's post as Brooks' manager wanting WTs back at the negotiating table. Any number of forum users may have a different slant on that post (it was perhaps intended to be that way). At the time, I was (and still am) of the view Hastings and Doueihi were/are a bigger chance of leaving WTs.

In any case, I appreciate all info provided by The POM, Cloudy, CCTW, Chris etc.

Its not semantics. Pom never said it was a done deal. You said that The Pom said that. he didnt. Very straightforward actually.

I burned these highlights from my mind until your post. I was so salty when he left. I remember Ivan Cleary refused to release him because he was playing so well and he knew that our season would be over if we didn't have him. Ivan wouldn't let him leave because he was playing so well, so the bloke tanked so he could join another team.

A lot of these highlights are from the second half of 2016. He played so well for like 8 games straight.

Funnily enough, Ivan Cleary did the same thing to us lol.
Let's be real..

If you were in your best playing form of your whole life and had it in your head that you wanted to sign for the Wests Tigers, but in the end... they wanted to sign another 3 players before you...

I would be pretty salty.

inside info, whether true or false, makes this forum go round. just about every single member of this place scours this thread to see what's been said in the hope of a rumour. whether it comes off or not is a different matter but you can't help but sit back and enjoy the fun.

@CloudyGlock has been a fantastic poster over the years - some just don't know the history.

His intel over the years has been outstanding.

I remember certain retired mods taking a disliking to him (and continually shutting down his accounts) but he delivered on many occasions and a lot of people enjoyed and still enjoy when he is kind enough to share his info.

To those who are privy to more information than MOST of us - it's very appreciated when and if you choose to share.

Let's discuss player signings & rumours instead of trying to negate others for sharing what they choose to share.

Thanks 😊

Cleary elected to pull Moses contract, who knows maybe he thought Nathan was heading to Concord who knows, but he did remove the contract. He did not remove tedesco's or Woods contract at the time they went and signed elsewhere.
I would have Moses back, he kicks goals can play 7 and return to play with his maye Brooks at 6. Sheens was not given the chance to work with teddy Moses Brooks back in 2014 but maybe this time he gets that chance to work with Moses and Brooks behind a very strong pack

One of the reasons many remember Moses' departure is for the reason he is a fine player and can do things on the field other halfbacks cannot. I want him back at WTs and I'm sure many other posters feel the same way. If he does return, he will do so as a mature young man. Moses and Brooks will learn from their collective experience, and this means WTs and teammates will benefit. I cannot see a downside.

That’s true for most, although some can’t help themselves and have try try cut everyone down.

I don't really want to wade into this ....but I think if a person wants to come out and make claims about being in the know they should at least own it when they are wrong ...if your not prepared to own your misinformation ...then don't post it ....Fair ????

If we're serious about junior development (local or poached), we should be looking at Ezra Mam not Moses.

This kid is going to be a star and he's off contract at the Broncos in 2024.

*Turn your volume down, the music is rubbish

Serious about junior development? That was months ago Leck. Try to keep up mate.
